That is the single reason why gen 8 is my least favorite. Imagine if they were doing mega lucario, and they just gave. Him a really cool bone (no differences to the actual Pokémon) or the mega starters just their extra parts (wings, plant, guns) made to be the sickest thing ever, but just those parts. They really screwed up the gigantamax starters (in my opinion)

corvinight and butterfree would be a bit different cause usually birds and butterflies/moths are actually measured by wingspan rather than head to toe! :D (a lot of quadruped animals are also given length measurements that go from head to tip of the tail; and height measurements that go from ground up to the withers, which is a fancy word for the shoulder blades in animals)

They are just mega with a 3 round timer. The reason why mega failed is that either already really popular pokemon got it or pokemon nobody cared for I mean fucking manectric and audino?
