I kinda like the idea of where this is going in terms of Goku's character. It's through his son that he is now hesitant to pursue his true nature as Gohan can easily represent the worst of the worst of it. Hopefully this allows Goku to think twice about everything and not just devolve into wanting bigger fights just for the sake of fighting by the time Super comes around for this. I'm really interested to see where this goes.

What if when the z fighters were on king kai’s planet they turned the ginyu force good when they came there. And earlier Goku insisted on sparing some of the members, like Burter, and Recoome, and sealed them in Freaza’s ship and they couldn’t escape due to their injuries. But then later during the fight with Freaza, a blast opens up the ship and they get out and declare they will help Freaza fight, but do to their inability to be useful at this point plus their earlier failure he just kills them himself, then ginyu as a frog sees this and he has to contemplate this.

This isnt viable to the main story line. That whole fight was filler. But more than that, its not the convincing to be good they need, they are loyal their emperor and his empire. We only saw conquest from the Freiza forces, but in their own right, they are a force of uniformity. Has vegeta given up his pride in being a sayian? Never, eventho hes changed his ways. The ginyu force would be no different. They would see the error of conquering, but they would still be loyal to the empire as a whole.

Looks interesting... I'm going to make a suggestion for a path for Gohan's psyche to evolve, but this suggestion is coming from an intensely personal experience, my own. (Not to say I want your Gohan to be like me, but it's a suggestion, lol) Me personally, I had experiences with rage from a young age too, and even a few episodes that rooted a deep-seeded fear of exactly what I am capable of in me. I became desperate to overcome this rage, and split my time into roughly four equal parts. The first is training (I did quite a bit of martial arts when young, and Gohan is getting that with the Z-Fighters) putting myself into a "lesser" state of rage, and managing to control it. Repeatedly. Through long exposure and experience, overcoming the ever-present siren-song of rage. Secondly was meditation. Learning to calm, and control my mind. And this is kinda what Kami was teaching him, which I think in this case could be a really good basis for how he is able to evolve over the course of this story. (I feel like rage + calm-mind = something close to ultra-instinct, so that could definitely be a plot-point eventually). The other two are things that I DON'T see you talking about. Thirdly is denial. (While I grew past this eventually, it was a core element for many years). Not necessarily denial of the facts, but denial of culpability to those facts. Saying "Normal people would do that? Right? I'm normal!" or "I told them what they would get if they pushed me, so it's their fault." those kinds of things. In this story, Gohan might be making excuses for his Rage-Bursts, or equating them to other events. Lastly though is depression, and a consistently low evaluation of your own self-worth. I feel like this could make a major change to where your story might go. See, as you grow out of the denial stage, you start to accept the fact tat you are responsible for your own actions. And that acceptance brings with it feelings of guilt, feelings of fear, withdrawal, isolationism, feelings of inadequacies, and feelings of a self-betrayal. These kinds of feelings may make Gohan place a much lower value on his own life than he otherwise might, making him more prone to actions that may place his own life in danger. (The danger in fact, being part of the appeal, as it feels "right" to be punished for what you perceive as a wrong-doing). Eventually, acceptance, and a willingness to change would win out, but in this kind of a story, it might be a long time coming, and there might be significant changes to the events that unfold as a result of that. Again, not mandatory, but I feel as someone who has had anger management issues in the past (And honestly, still kinda struggle with it to this day, albeit to a much lesser extent) I feel like it's a plausible, and sensible method to take, and opens up some interesting and powerful story-telling options in this kind of a setting. Feel free! But what do you think? Lets get this discussion going!
