@@thundergozon6439 I'd have to dig it up to double check, but I'm pretty sure that it was noted in the manga that most of Android 17 and 18's _enhancements_ (plural) were biomechanical, and that some of these systems were specifically designed to allow special compatibility with Cell. With the limited amount of data Bulma had to work with, it's likely that even if these systems were implemented in Yamcha's enhancements they wouldn't work in quite the same way.

Which TBH makes sense, Yamcha isn't a pure martial artist, he doesn't want to spend his entire life training like Tien does, he wants to do other things. Really he's just a normal dude who wants to use his powers for fun and profit, not life and death fights.

Talking about Yamcha I was playing this Dragonball DnD where I was playing as Chichi. To makes things quick the first meeting between Yamcha and Chichi I rolled well enough that Chichi kicked Yamcha in the balls so hard it crushed one of his testicles, which resulted in him becoming Majin to get revenge on Chichi basically becoming one of the main bad guys.

Yamcha's power must be almost absurd, if Lapis and Lazuli (Androids No. 17 and No. 18) were normal humans with fighting power ranging from 6 to 10 and had approximately one billion fighting power AFTER their conversion, Yamcha must have a imperfect power near Cell. Note, the Androides of the present timeline are stronger than those of the timeline of Trunks of the future (Mirai). And Bulma had his hidden potential unlocked by the Patriarch of Namek, add that when it comes to increasing the fighting power of Yamcha, which should have been close to 100,000 or 200,000 fighting power in this story.

Ya know, I heard an interesting theory that Dabura was the Demon Realm doppelganger of Hercule Satan. (Dabura has the motif of Satan characteristics with the red skin, little horns, fangs, etc while Hercule has the naming scheme Satan) Since the Demon Realm is described as a sort of mirror world this could explain their contrasting personalities, yet they still maintain some similarities like there fighting styles both involve being natural tricksters. Dabura's relationship with Buu of fear and hatred could've been used in contrast to Hercule's relationship of fear and love. I would love to see how that would play out. (I would love to see a Demon Realm Videl doppelganger) Plus if Dabura survived the fight with Buu, he could've had a parallel arc to Gohan's of feeling inadequate and proving themselves, where they both get Ultimate Forms/power ups from a Supreme Kai one in Other World, the other in the Demon Realm. Instead of Tien or Goku coming in to save the day, it could've been Ultimate Dabura. (Plus they got the whole Dragon Quest Hero and Demon King vibe while reflecting 23rd Budokai Goku and Piccolo)

I think this Yamcha could spirituality replace Vegeta as Goku's rival. He's motivated in this scenario, as an android has more than enough power to help Goku train as well as help out the dragon team, with the infinite energy engine he can go on theoretically forever. Who knows he may get some techniques ( kaioken maybe, who knows). Plus, he's got black hair, that's pretty much all he needs to be Goku's rival right there, he can definitely take Vegetas place. Making human members of the team into androids (cyborgs) is a great way to keep them relevant. Random kids off the street were stronger than super Saiyans at the start of the Cell saga, so trained martial artists could reasonably be expected to keep up with the Saiyans if they kept training as androids (cyborgs) and maybe get upgrades whenever there is a power jump too great. Yamcha: "Cell got stronger when he absorbed 17 and 18, maybe if I..." Tien, hiding Chiaotzu: "Don't even think about it."
