The civil war is so broken right now. It's a 70% civil war, and the way you're supposed to do it is by having both the Bund and the Free Corps focus *before* the war and then you can spawn 48 trained divisions. Because of the 70% it's significantly better to delete all your units before the war. Furthermore, the Honor the Confederacy focus is completely broken and need to be taken *during* the civil war or else you can't take it, because you can't switch to Fascism otherwise and are stuck with Non-Aligned. The best way is to get rid of Coughlin at 29% support then do all the Foci needed and tip over the 30% margin using that 10 PP decision for 2% Fascism or take the Voter Registration act - either way the Ten Million March event fires and 180 days later the civil war kicks off. If you don't get rid of him, the support grows so that at 340 days average the civil war will trigger from taking the Silver Legion focus at 20% support exactly. You need 5 focuses (350 days) to be able to win the Civil War and 10 Foci (700 days) to be able to finish Honor the Confederacy. Thus, you have to keep the civil war going for like a year in order to do this while keeping him in the government. Oh, and bonus points, the complete game goes bonkers if you annex Mexico at some point: The game will ask you to puppet yourself using the subjugation focus (accepting crashes the game) and you'll for some reason have the Mexico specific decisions available to you. Lastly, the democratic Foci Neutrality and Limited Intervention aren't blocked by taking the Commie or Fascist paths: So, if you rush down Limited Intervention you can get yourself a juicy 6th research slot and the Manhattan program (Neutrality requires 95% democratic support, so you can't have taken "America First" before doing it). TL;DR: Paradox QA is king.

Don't build any guns, just artillery, so they don't get any guns. Instead modify your single division with Marines. 4. If you get Boston Rebellion, convert your division to cavallery, DONT CLICK ON THE BOSTON EVENT IN ANY WAY.
