What If I Made A Pokemon Game?

We've all thought about what kind of Pokemon Game we'd make if we had unlimited power to do so, and that's exactly what this video is all about! I take you guys through my 'Pokemon Dream Game' including how I came up with the idea and the cool (if not somewhat crazy) story I built around it! This isn't meant to be a replacement for my "What If ___ Was A Pokemon Region?" videos (I'm working hard on the next one!), but is a fun spinoff idea that ties into the 'Buddyverse' at large.

Here's a theory; Zossie has landed in a dimension where the URS is evil or only the lookalike Zossie herself is evil, we know the URS exists in the other dimension because the AU Zossie is aware of the portal's existence and the grumpy guys name . You can tell this isn't the original Zossie because her suit has disappeared, or something in the AU caused her to turn out like this. I guess you'll be saving her?

I like the Outlands idea. It seems like it would act as a optional dungeon that starts out low level in accordance to where you would be coming out of Hoenn the first time, but get progressively more challenging with the deepest part having higher level opponents that endgame bosses. This means you would be able to make progress just about every time you visit, but it won't be until the post game that you can explore the deepest depths. "Our invasion is being invaded." This is a line that needs to have more opportunities to be said. XD

I love this idea for a lot of reasons. One, as you said, alternate universes are super rad concepts. Definitely a trope that I never get tired of. There’s infinite possibilities! Two, on a more personal level, it reminds me of the fun times I had playing Super Paper Mario with my little brother. I think my favorite world was the Rocket world. It’s so creepy, but in a real way. Definitely a solid finale to the game. And who can possibly be a better final boss than the OG boss himself? The flooded Hoenn had some great visuals to it. Although the tragedy of the situation is sad, it opens up a bunch of interesting characterization roads, as you showed off. Always love a good Berserk appearance. That was such a clever idea. Though thinking more about Sigurd’s final team makes me worried about what he did to his starter. Definitely nothing good. The prehistoric world was interesting. The character design for Elesa was amazing. It was a good world to create a better connection with Zossie (so you could RIP OUR HEARTS OUT AT THE END). The Sinnoh region was fascinating. Definitely had the lowest stakes, but I think that’s all right. You shouldn’t put something too intense as the penultimate part of a story. Otherwise the finale could fall flat. Cyrus is one of my favorite bosses, so I think the approach you took to his character was definitely a neat character examination. Like a nature vs nurture thing. I’d definitely get veeeerrrry distracted by the side quests. 100% And that ending. Holy sweet biscuits. A storm is coming. A very very neato storm. Though gotta say, Zossie’s dress is very cute. All of the voice actors did an amazing job. Props to Dulse’s va (for sounding tired but not intelligible), Zossie’s (she had a lot of lines and had to get us to sympathize with her for the ending to have such an impact. A lot of pressure there), and Giovanni’s (chills man). Can’t wait to see what you make next!

When I saw some cavewoman with a Cinccino in the thumbnail, I was excited about what kind of events could have lead to this situation. Upon learning that you would explore different kinds of what-if scenarios for the different regions, my anticipation ramped up. Then I learned that your alternate Unova was simply a prehistoric Unova. While trekking through prehistoric wilderness would be a great opportunity for some great vistas, I found your Unova too disconnected from the events of the original games. The characters are mere references to their game counterparts. Change the region and there would hardly be any difference beside the available Pokémon. It could as well have been prehistoric Johto for all the region matters. What if instead N had succeeded in his goal of separating people and Pokémon and prevented Ghetsis from rising to power? Skip a few decades and we see Pokémon having reclaimed Unova with humans largely unable to defend themselves without Pokémon at their side. The few humans you meet live in caves in fear and only a few of them have relearned how humans in prehistoric times used to tame and command Pokémon. You would travel through overgrown wilderness and ruined cities on your way to finding the ultra beasts. That's my proposal anyways.
