What if I make the wrong decision? Have you ever asked yourself this question when faced with a big decision? Maybe it's school, work, a potential relationship... but we've all had doubt in our lives. Today, we talk about how to make the right decision and what happens when we make the wrong decision. The good news is that even if we "mess up" God still is in control and will work it for his glory.

That is very true! What God cares abt is to love him with all your heart. If u do that it will lead you to everything, your calling, how you praise, where you want to live, what you wanna do in the future and even who you marry l believe.

I messed up a lot of times, got back up and then only to fall down again..but still we have to trust that God in everything. He is definitely teaching us to trust Him and become a better Christian as we continue to our faith. Surely the learning process is hard, but God is gracious to us, He will always make a way.

I might have to listen to this a few times. This is stuff that I am currently struggling with. I too have seen God's will as a Target and if I don't hit the bullseye directly every single time, then I am missing the mark. I am learning as of recently that I have been living and thinking that salvation and/or relationship with God is based on how well I do his will, which I understand is works based. The all or nothing factor or the black and white. But you said something that clicked in my mind and how you said that you used to make decisions out of fear, that's all I've done. That saying that if I don't do this certain thing then I'm out of God's will and thus out of his salvation. This conversation is something that still confuses me, but I just need to listen to it some more.

What a cool insight to how you're wrestling through this video. It's a conversation that I've been playing back in my mind too. I think that so many of us end up making decisions based out of fear, forgetting that "perfect love casts out fear." Blessings to you Stephen and I hope God continues to illuminate your path! -J

New to your channel and was interested in learning more about your theology. This video was informative, God as a GPS is a pretty good illustration. His clear will for us is laid out in scripture, that is our GPS. The rest is up to us. We will learn from our decisions and then grow in wisdom. He created us as creatures with freedom of choice and wants us to learn and grow. Allowing us to ‘fail’ is hugely important to grow in wisdom. This was great. Enjoying the channel.

God will never leave you or forsake you. Nothing can separate you from His love. Your sins have been removed as far as the East is from the West, you are a new creation in Christ. Repent and trust Him. The more you believe the enemies lies, the more in bondage to sin you will be. Put your hammer away, forgive yourself and fall into the arms of Jesus, you are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image. Get into your Bible, read psalms and pray, strengthen your spirit, and you will begin to act and feel like God’s precious child. ❤ Praying for you🙏🏽🦋

Huh. Been mulling this topic over quite a bit lately. Appreciated the video so much. Where do you strike a balance in this line of reasoning with “all paths (religions, “coexist” mentality,etc.) leading to God”? The principle behind us choosing stumps me the most when that line of reasoning could apply to being any religion you want to be and it’ll land you at the right place.

Quick question, what if we’re struggling with feeling that the first “ship” we missed was the “best” ship and now we feel like we’re settling. Sorry, I know it’s a year late, but I just found this video. It’s like you’re grateful for the new ship but you’re stuck with what you know you missed out on and you’re like this ship is never going to compare. This has been my thought process and I know in my heart, God can do anything but my logic brain keeps kicking my butt mentally.

@lauri hi, thanks for your reply. I’m already saved. My question was more in regards to regret and missed opportunities due to circumstances beyond your control. After battling with lots of trauma I’m grateful it’s not as bad as it’s been in the past but I can’t help but wonder what my life would have been without said trauma. I feel like I was robbed of my best life and it’s hard to move forward when the past seems better than any potential future your limited perspective can envision. All I can do is trust that God has a plan, he’s the reason I’m still alive.

Ask the holy spirit to give you discrement on what you should or shouldn't do. and always seek direction from God. Through time he will tell you what needs to be done but be patient and wait on God. He doesn't always answer when we would like him to, but he answers at the perfect time. So pray about it and just wait.

I like the video! Question though, how do you deal with this verse concerning your perspective? Ephesians 2:10 English Standard Version (ESV) 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. So if God prepared good works for us to do before hand, how is that not a very specific calling?
@JustinKhoe

The calling is to "good works." Who is to say that the calling isn't doing good work as a painter? Or banker? Or business owner?

ok so I am a born again believer. And have had a great job for 13 years. But one day out of the blue I steal from my boss. Now I get fired and now am on the verge of being homeless. You beg for forgiveness from your boss but he still fires you.. And now your life is ruined.... is that Gods will???? Or is it for the boss to forgive you and let you keep your job knowing you will never and have never done that or do it again??!!!

As Christians, its not up to us to decided to become a nurse, a graphic designer or a teacher... We should seek God and ask Him what we should do. We are the temple of God, I do not belong to me but to God so therefore He will tell me what I should become. And of course in the process it also matters to be more and more like Him. God is the One directing our steps not us.
@ariellec9676

So now I wonder. Obviously when we were formed in the womb before we were even born... God already had a plan for our lives. I think as a whole one of our main purposes as followers of Christ is to spread the gospel and teach/show others about Jesus's love. God can use as all in everyway whether that's on KZbin, being a doctor, being a teacher honestly anything... I think he just wants us to do it for his glory. It makes since actually. God is concerned with who your becoming in the process. I feel like when we have passions for example I'm a very creative person so I like photography, film,drawing. All that stuff. God knows my passions and he allows us to explore. He opens up doors and closes others because in the long run whatever God chooses that will be what's best, the one guy talked about freedom. God does give us freedom of choice. I just wonder is God really leaving the option up to me for me to decide what I want to do in my future or does he already decide for us before we are born? There's a Bible verse. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God 1 Corinthians 10:31 meaning in all that we do... It could be anything eating and drinking as written in the Bible verse are two options we have the descion on whether we choose to eat or drink right? But whatever we choose we must do it for God's glory. So in a way what the one guy was saying makes sense . I just need to seek discernment. Might I also add that God always has the best plan it's always good to ask him to open doors but also close the ones that don't need to be open. We may not always understand what he's doing but it's important to obey and trust him. I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in this. This really is something I've been struggling with. Thank you Jesus for great timing. EDIT: JUST THINKING.....My life really isn't my own. I'm not here to satisfy myself I'm here to glorify God because he deserves it! This whole finding your calling thing is confusing. I just want to be happy. I have passions and stuff but sometimes I just get scared to pursue those things. I don't know. I never want to choose my passions over God. But sometimes when I put my focus on something for so long and I feel like nothing is happening for me then I get discouraged. So maybe these passions are from God it's just that his timing is different. And maybe he did allow me to choose he just wants me to glorify him throughout it.

It's not about your sins! Your sins were nailed to the cross. That's the good news. Your sins will affect your quality of life down here in a negative way, but not your salvation.
