nah, if not jiraya sensei he wont be able to master sage mode and defeat pain, itachi also couldnt teach him rasengan so would be much weaker by training with itachi instead of jiraya. Its also impossible to akatsuki members to not see itachi sneak out to train naruto so they would kill them both, everyone also think that itachi betreyd vilage so they would go try catch itachi so his meetings with naruto would end faster than it started (sorry if i wrote something wrong, im still learning english)
