So I play a lot of the game of thrones mod for Crusader Kings 3. this happened once. Robert married a Dornish noblewoman and then died in a tournament accident. Jeoffrey took the throne at like 7 He was still on the throne when Young Griff invaded. Dorn, Highgarden, the Stormlands under Renley, 90% of the Riverlands and about half the vale jumped at the chance to get a child Psychopath off the iron throne. Westerlands, the North, the other half of the Vale, and most of the crown lands sided with Jeoff war was hell. Young Griff took the throne, married my only daughter, who was also my heir, had tons of kids and that's how I won the game of thrones in 3 generations.

One thing that was kinda glossed over in this scenario was the Reach. With the Tyrells siding with the Lannisters at the Blackwater and losing, there is no chance in hell they stay Lords Paramount. Especially considering the fact that Stannis already has more than enough reason to dislike Mace for both the siege of Storm's End, as well as declaring for Renly. @@Just_a_Dude80 well, why not? It’s an interesting concept for a video, and character traits have been altered in these videos before to explore other interesting conclusions. While the Jamie we know isn’t above killing innocents himself, we know he felt sympathy for Rhaella while she endured marital rape and became disillusioned in his duties enough to kill his king to save the people, why not create a version where after the mad king is slain, rather than sit the throne he seeks out the people he was sworn to protect who, most importantly, DESERVE protecting as a way to atone for his sins and perhaps maintain a sense of honor and duty within himself?

@bibijinnie7184 This is not good for the lannisters. After Robert's death, Joffrey wouldn't be the only heir for the throne. And if the bastards were immediately destroyed by the Lannisters, why wouldn't they kill the Targaryen children? Would Cersei have made a comment about “saving rhaegars whore wife” and thus making him see her differently, perhaps breaking their incestuous bond? What would happen afterwards would be up for debate, this why I’d like to see the video. Besides, keeping Elia around would certainly be interesting, as I doubt even if robert had the children put to the sword that he would condemn her as well. Pausing at 14:02 to say that without Ned's threat to Cersei about telling Robert about her infidelity, she has no incentive to kill Robert. While the strongwine ruse worked in canon, it wasn't without risk. Without an imminent threat to her children, Cersei has no incentive to take that risk. Remember, this is show-Cersei, who legitimately loves her children. Since there's no situation compelling action, I think she'd be caught up in mourning and nurturing her other children. And who knows, shared grief over Joffrey might bring Cersei and Robert together. And the fact that they now need a back-up heir for Tommen might result in Cersei bearing another black-haired baby. She knows Stannis is suspicious, therefore the best way to sow doubt about his probably-upcoming charges is to have an indisputably Baratheon baby. That's the best way to protect Myrcella and Tommen, so that's what show-Cersei does.

I actually dont think the tyrells would work together with the lannisters in this verse. Stannis's army is too big. As a result Renly would likely swear fealty as Renly would have nowhere near enough men to oppose the combined strength of stannis, the north, and the river lands. Seeing how big the force is littlefinger would side with the north and convince Lysa to back the north and stannis. The tyrells would either remain nuetral or even join the northern forces as a way to not piss off stannis as there is already a rivalry there to between them and wants to look good and front of the new king. I could even see a marriage pact being made in order to secure this. Margaery and renly specifically only this time they dont break up and Loras probably joins the kings gaurd to.... Y'know be with renly. Much to Mace's dismay but in the books at least he does have other sons so in the books hes not as disappointed. And in the show. Well mace might be happy giving the seat of high garden away to a nefew or younger brother if it means his line gets to sit on the throne so he'll get over it fast when someone brings that up. Afterall, it is incredibly unlikely stannis and his wife will have anymore kids at this point. Making renly second in line. Could also see a bethrothal between Shireen and a prince from dorne to get them in on it. Although that may not be necessary as Dorne hates the Lannisters regardless so they might just join anyway out if "loyalty to the true king." Basically the lannisters and greyjoys are screwed.

good video! I thought that maybe shireen the stone skin and bran the broken could have been a likely match but heirs are needed and the cripple probably can't make those so Rikon and Shireen are a better pair lol but Bran ending up as the king in this alternate universe aswell would be hiarious.

I really think there's enough for a part 2 here. If I'm remembering the time line right. Jon would be told about Arya before he takes his vows. So he could come back and stay with his family. And Ned could do 2 things here. Either have Jon legitimized or more likely in my mind. Tell him the truth now that Roberts dead and send him east with say Jory to find Danny. Jon bonds with Rhaegal and Danny much sooner ect. Ect.

Whoa, you threw away a bunch at the end. Daenerys comes back, and Mel and Selyse see her as a prophesied figure, so Selyse walks into a night fire to make way for Stannis to marry her. Stannis is roasted Quentin style, trying to claim a dragon.

Tywain might kill Cersei for starting a war with the north
@danielgolden81164 ай бұрын
~14:00 your reasoning is flawed here. Cersei only had Robert killed because Ned told her that he’d found out the truth and was going to tell Robert. If that doesn’t happen, Robert doesn’t die on the hunt.
@TheEmpyreanSpeaks4 ай бұрын
You’re wrong. Cersei was already planning to kill Robert before Ned confronted her. Go back to episode 6, Robert was already on the hunt and Lancel was getting him drunk so he could get killed, Cersei’s plan was already in motion before Ned said anything. Not to mention in episode 6 Ned didn’t even know that her kids were bastards yet until the end of the episode, it’s in episode 7 that he actually confronts Cersei and tells her his plan for when Robert comes back but by that point it’s too late and Robert is already done for.
@danielgolden81164 ай бұрын
@@TheEmpyreanSpeaks Respectfully, I don’t agree. Varys heavily alludes to the fact that Ned’s choice to give Cersei the chance to escape was the immediate cause of Robert’s death. I’m paraphrasing, but I believe the line is something like “The wine slowed him, and the boar ripped him open, but it was your mercy that killed the king.” Even if Varys was wrong or, for some reason, lying, the only reason Cersei had to take the risk of killing Robert was to put Joffrey on the throne before the truth could be exposed.
@danielgolden81164 ай бұрын
Cersei could certainly have sent word to Lancel to make sure Robert died on the hunt after her conversation with Ned. I’ve always assumed that was what must have happened, given Varys’s dialogue.
@TheEmpyreanSpeaks4 ай бұрын
I see what you’re saying but I still don’t think that lines up. In your earlier statement you say that Robert dies specifically because Ned chose to confront Cersei and what I’m saying is Robert was already in the process of being killed before that conversation. So Ned confronting Cersei has nothing to do with Robert dying. Even though, yes she did move to kill Robert to cover up her secret, this is before she knew that Ned knew about her and Jaime, but she still knew she wouldn’t be safe forever. Her plan was already in motion regardless of what was or wasn’t said. Not to mention Varys is a man with an agenda. So he’s most likely lying to Ned about his involvement with Roberts death because realistically once Robert left and Lancel went with him there was nothing nothing Ned could do affect what happens to Robert.
@TheEmpyreanSpeaks4 ай бұрын
With respect I also fail to see the reasoning behind this. If you go back to episode 6 Robert has a very small hunting party and doesn’t seem to have made a camp in the Kingswood so they’re just marching along. How would Cersei even know where they are to get word to Lancel specifically if they keep moving around with no real base? And if we say word does get to Lancel, he’s always next to Robert and there are two other people there, Barristan Selmy and Renly. On the off chance word does get to him via some raven from Cersei wouldn’t they find it suspicious that it’s for the kings squire and not the king? They’d probably assume the message from the raven was something important if it flew all the way out there and the information couldn’t wait until they got back from the hunt.

I don't think Daenerys is a factor in this. Unless I missed it Baristan didn't get released. Which means she likely dies from the manticore.
