@krocize I can't really count that as a true possession personally. I say that because Goku's spirit wasn't in his body after Ginyu did the body swap, they just swapped bodies with each other. In this story, Goku's spirit was still in his own body when he got possessed and taken over by Zamasu, much like the situations with Vegeta in the Buu Saga and in GT.

So is this basically a path to Zamasu's redemption where he evolves and becomes a Kami-Sama or one where he becomes a Pilaf emperor of Earth and then a Frieza emperor of the Universe but a benevolent dictator? Like Zamasu offended himself for not realizing that the Gods created mortals, and therefore mortals are reflections of the Gods' mistakes. An excellent idea, I even see Zamasu developing real feelings of friendship and love, in his Kaioshin life it is very distorted, but he does have these feelings.

I can see the main arc being whether life as a mortal will help Zamasu re-evaluate his genocidal plan... or will he go through with it, regardless of the attachments he may form. And poor Kid Goku. If the body swap works like it did in the original, that would mean Kid Goku is stranded in Zamasu's body, in a different universe, in a different timeline decades in the future. A B-plot or special episode from his POV would be interesting. Also, "time is once again a flat circle"... I wonder what that meant

It's ironic that the slip of the tongue was Zamasu wishing to "understand" Goku's power. If he understand's Goku's power, he may result in Zamasu turning good. He'll understand just how much Goku had fought to obtain that power, and why his friends were an integral part in that. This will also result in Zamasu perhaps experiencing what it's like to be mortal rather than see it from an outside view.
