Sad part is Munky really wanted to include 8-string guitars in Korn's music. The Serenity of Suffering was going to go in that direction until Jonathon Davis vetoed it and the music was uptuned back to their regular A tuning.

"Falling Away From Me" they use a low octave pedal with guitars tuned to ADGCFAD so it sounds super low on the sound register.

They do an octave down in a few parts and almost all Here to Stay song. So it’s way lower than this. But its cool. The key element is back down the low end and gain to get a proper sound.

Funny, Korn doesn't really sound much heavier on the 8 string. They sound wrong. I'm so glad they stuck with the 7 strings on Serenity instead of going with the 8 strings as they were experimenting with. Korn isn't really Korn if not tuned to A or B

Heh, KoRn are like one of the few bands out there who aren't afraid to tune ridiculously low. I think their song "All in the family" was pitchshifted an octave from A, but I could be wrong since I havent heard it in a long time. And that was back in like 1997, way before djent or Meshuggah 8-string
