The 2022 Tata Steel Masters is a 14-player single round-robin taking place from 15-30 January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen heads the field, which includes stars such as 2020 Champion Fabiano Caruana and Anish Giri.
The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. If there is a tie for first place the top two after tiebreaks then play a 2-game blitz (5+3) playoff and, if still tied, an Armageddon game. The monetary prizes will be shared evenly. @Garvey-vm3qt
@Garvey-vm3qt 2 жыл бұрын
I think Pilisa has a point there. She’s trying to say Nils couldn’t spare the move to move his king, despite relieving the pressure he would lose material and surely be at an even greater disadvantage than if he was just able to weather the attack head on

It adds more for agad to do. He gets these videos out so fast because he has streamlined the process of creating videos, removing extra bits like elo and time on screen and just quoting them when needed in the video. It may be a bit more than that but I'm sure there is a good reason.
