Well for nodirbek he’s extremely good in rapid and blitz too unlike gukesh and Arjun who are nowhere near the top in shorter time controls, so he’s got the potential to dominate everything in chess after Magnus.
@DC-zi6se9 күн бұрын
@@muhammaduzair8244 Arjun is the same as Nodirbek in shorter formats (if not better). Gukesh hasn't focused on anything except for classical. Once he grows and plays those formats more often gaps would be bridged.

We all knew this back in 2022 itself. When Gukesh played Nodirbek in the chess olympiad. We were seeing the future top 2 players. Ofcourse they are still not ranked 1 and 2 but ratings dont matter as much as performance. When you seem them play so well. Eventually they will get to number 1 and 2.
@shebin41469 күн бұрын
I'd say the same about being driven. Gukesh and Nodirbek got that fighting spirit, extremely ambitious spirit. But Pragg is another player I'd put in the same category in terms of chess strength. Nodirbek is good in all 3 formats just like Pragg. Arjun is good in shorter formats as well but currently he's having a tough time in classical. So can't really say anything about him for sure. I'm sure if Pragg gets the same fighting spirit/motivation/drive, he'd be even a greater threat. Gukesh is the only one whose only strength is classical at the moment.

Again, great game by the very young world champion. Being on the verge of losing most of the time, he found a couple of beautiful tactical moves to survive into a draw. Gukesh barely won against Ding who isn't in his prime. While Nodirbek here is on the rise and crushing everyone, I highly doubt he'll be able to pull that off. I managed to find that h6 pawn push almost immediately, and without calculating anything. It was pretty clear that only a pawn promotion could lead to a win, and I felt h6 was the only candidate. I'm not a great chess player, but knowing that a winning move exists gives you all the information you need in this situation, and you can dispense with the calculation, which was probably beyond me in any event, so yeah... I'll take it.
