I see. Most of my customers are small businesses and they’re very price conscious. So for my I think Galois is perfect.

Great review Mic. As a perfectionist i quess i will keep using my DSLR. Maybe i will ever buy such a system when it has a full nadir/zenith and the quality is slightly better. But i assume we can fix these areas with generative fill

Thanks Chris! Yes I agree. For customers who want the best quality, I would still use DSLR. As for the nadir and zenith, Galois has generative fill although it’s currently low resolution. See 18:00 of the video.

@@360vroomers Can you edit the photos with photoshop before its builds the tour? In that case its possible to fix the low res gen fill.

About virtual staging, is there any connection with sketchfab or another 3d service to insert 3d models in a tour?

Right now in the beta version of virtual staging, I can select from available 3d objects like a bed, table etc. and i can position them in 3d space. They said they will add more items in the future. I will ask them if the user can import 3d objects.

You can't load virtual tours as any mp4 to load anywhere? Or on any other virtual tour platform?

Hi George. You can download the photos in full 16k resolution and upload them to any other platform if you want but: 1. You use credits to download (I forgot how many credits per 50 downloads). 2. If you upload somewhere else, you’ll need to link the virtual tour manually. As for mp4, it does have a guided tour feature that can create a video tour automatically if you want.

Yes it’s really amazing how well the software can place the video on the photo and blend them automatically. I didn’t even have to point to the area of the photo where the video should be. 😮

It’s very useful especially for properties that have water features or other parts that benefit from animation or movement!

When talking about "DSLR" you mean DSLM I suppose? I think, the big disadvantage is the dependancy your are building up. If you are a photographer, and proud of your work, you might want to collect and show your work on your homepage, and also maybe you dont want to push your clients into a product that needs to be paid on a regular basis. I f you are only a business man, and working in realestate where tours are online for 6 months till the object is sold... maybe... same as matterport. The video-feature looks really great... I would love to have that... but not for the price of becoming a slave. From my prospective your video was well done, but there is not a convincing presentation of the cons... so it feels a little bit like advertising.

Thanks Bobby. If you host your virtual tour on your own server, you will still incur monthly costs. In fact that’s also true for any website. Yet no one argues that paying for web hosting is unreasonable. Similarly, as long as clients know what they are getting into, they can make an informed decision about whether it is worth the cost to have a virtual tour shown on their site. As for the cons, I explained the downsides and I don’t think I omitted any material disadvantages. I’m happy to answer any questions.

@@360vroomers I think, that the argument is a littl weak. Webspace is mostly very cheap, you can change your provider and anybody will have it anyway... so hosting a tour will often not increase monthly costs. For example, I could never afford to show all my many tours since a decade on my website. Anyway I apreciate the information given by your video... very interesting. Thank you!

@@bobbyboe thanks again Bobby. I honestly think that if you are hosting tours and not charging a monthly cost to your customers, you are leaving money on the table imho. But i understand your perspective.
