History doesn't have a conditional tense. But that doesn't make it any less interesting to wonder, "What if...?"
In this show, we imagine how famous naval battles might have developed under alternative circumstances. In our first episode, we looked into the Battle of Dogger Bank • What If? The Battle of... .
Now, it's time for us to travel to the coasts of Jutland in 1916.
The Battle of Jutland was the largest naval encounter during World War I. The battle took place in the North Sea, off the coast of the Danish Jutland island. More than 200 ships of the German and British fleets clashed in this ferocious battle.
It's important to note that our reconstruction doesn't take a huge range of real-battle parameters into account; however, it will allow us to provisionally compare the initial balance of power, as well as the advantages and disadvantages in the tactics employed by both sides. We'll also be able to evaluate the influence of random events.
• What if a particular Danish steamer hadn't passed between the flotillas?
• What if the two rearmost German cruisers hadn't been constantly maneuvering?
• What if the main forces hadn't intervened in the battle between battlecruisers?

New Zealand and her crew, true to his word he wore it for the Battle of Heliograd Bight, at first, the crew was skeptical, but after they escaped without a scratch, they were heartened to see him wear it again at Dogger Bank. By the time of Jutland had he not worn it they would’ve insisted he go put it on, that skirt and pendant are now held by the New Zealand Navy and on display in one of their museums, supposedly H.M.S. Ramillies had something similar happened during the second world war.

If you missed this offer, you can buy Agincourt in the armory for 53,000 coal or buy Jutland containers for 1,000 coal each and have a chance for Agincourt, Konig Albert (a German BB), the Jutland permanent cammo for each or if you're lucky all of them. Depending on your luck you could get both ships and both cammos for less than the 53k they want for Agincourt.

Great video!! However, there’s no mention of invincible exploding. I know she’s not a ship thats in the game but out of respect should’ve mentioned her tragic fate. Also it’s interesting to see these different battle scenarios. It’s easy to see why both sides claimed victory, with the Germans on paper winning the day by sinking more enemy ships, and the British claiming victory by holding the Germans back from breaking their naval blockade.

Oh and when Vice Admiral Beatty said there seems something wrong with our bloody ships today! He was right, "HIS Orders" to over load the turrets with high explosive Cordite rounds used to fire the shells and the forced opening of the safety anti-fire loading doors and shell lifts from the magazines on HIS Orders to lessen the time taken to reload and fire more shells to make up for the British gunners not being as good as the German ones. HIS fault we lost so many good people and ships not bad safety design or bad handling by the crews Just his orders to over ride the safety systems of the turrets to stop the fire from a turret going down into the magazines. And this fool got the command of the fleet after his boss was blamed for the losses in ships.
