What if I had a shoplifting charge at a military installation but no army crime records found, nothing on fbi report, or my state, and district court clerk states no records found, but will not write a certified letter because its against policy. However, u.s.p.o has written a letter stating disposition of the case and parole was completed. Will uscis accept this with notarized affidavit?

I have obtained court disposition but you mentioned “police records”. Where should i go for those and what specifically do i ask for? The disposition i have obtained states the charges and how the case has ended. I received an rfe and want to ensure everything needed is there when i send it back in. Thank you.

What if the alien was arrested and the case was dismissed? Would the alien need to show proof of its dismissal? Do you send this info in with the K1 petition for the Alien, or is this something the alien would bring to the embassy interview?

What if you (me) have an extensive criminal background. Dealing in stolen property, Shoplifting, distribution of a schedule II narcotic. Have done your time, finished your probation flawlessly and got early release. Work, make good money and fell in love with an angel from Canada. Can I get her here, with me? I have amazing family, friends and roommates who will co-sign so to speak, one works for the federal government and the other works as a higher up in Hilton hotel corporation. I, we, can more than support and take care of the newest member to the family (hopefully :( ) Will my past get me denied for a K1 visa from Canada to USA?

@@ldrnative8619 she's still in Canada ,too much bad as happened, I'm injured and on bed rest with a torn spine and 3 herniated discs from work injury,. We haven't been able to do anything yet as finances are tight and mobility is a no go right now. Hurt in October and fighting with insurance trying to get the neurosurgery I need :(

Hang in there. I'm far from my significant other too. We are sitting in administrative processing after the embassy interview, due to a charge from 15 years ago. He's had no arrests since and it looks like we can still be denied his visa. I understand they need to be careful but they also need to give more credit when a person has worked hard to stay on the right path. My fiance paid for his mistake, he was only 19 years old, but feels like the whole world is still punishing him. America is supposed to be all about rehabilitation and second chances. But we are devastated and losing hope.

Our case was transfered to other office because of my fiance/ my petitioner's criminal history, just want to know how much will it take for them to inform us the result? @@Kaur07 we sent a letter of correction with the boxes check immediately after we received NOA1, so we didn’t get RFE for that. Yes i got my visa and presently in the US since late last year nw in Adjustment of status process
