-The sharingan has to manifest itself, Sasuke only developed it during a time of crisis (fighting Haku). Uchiha aren't simply born with it, in fact Sasuke says it only appears in a select few. -No one knew at this point that the sharingan evolves into the rinnegan (except Madara and Black Zetsu). Everyone was surprised when edo Madara used it, if you recall.

Something like Benge from Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust would be epic. Benge can travel between spaces through shadows and submerge and hide himself in shadows as if shadows were an extradimensional space. He can trap and bind others in the fringes of that shadow space and attacks that strike him where there are shadows other than his own are then displaced to that space instead of striking him. Benge can translocate himself from a shadow to the object that is casting it and cause injuries by attacking a persons shadow. Lastly he can produce illusions in areas concealed in shadows; said illusions can produce false light, conceal people/objects/traps, and to draw people in with false bait and scenery. However Benge seems to have a limit on how many of these he can use at once and may need a moment to switch things up. This is implied while he was trying for his shadow strike while concealed in a shadow he chose to dodge rather than shift the attack through the shadow, buying time to enable the translocation effect. He was never seen attempting the shadow strike anywhere that his targets shadow wasn't clearly defined, implying that the thing with the darkest shadow is what the shadow strike will hit. The bloodlines bearer would be interested in the Uchiha, due the predictive abilities of the Sharingan to help with effective switching the bloodlines attributes. The Nara and the bloodlines bearer would also have mutual interest in each other, due to the potential that the bloodline would have combined with the Nara clans secret techniques.

Something I don't understand is how Naruto knows about the techniques the Rinnegan possesses. In all the videos a character gets it they already know what they can do with it. It's weird. Nagato had the Rinnegan for a lot of years and it was when Yahiko was killed that he started to discover its techniques...
