Paused at 13:03 the uzumakis were feared by everyone, as every one of them was able to hold down a tailed beast single handed, they were all sealing gods, making sealing jutsu of their own, which fun fact, if you read light novels or any of the sort, they crafted demon like masks that had horns, almost representing otsotsukis, that had the ability to use their reaper death seal, they were obtained by the leaf after they were massacred, I’ll get to that in a second, hashirama sealed them into a singular shack barely outside the village which every hokage has acces to, meaning they can regain the tailed beast like hashirama did again, now then, they were feared by all 5 nations, and had just gotten into a relationship with the hidden leaf, that scared everyone so before they had grown closer all 5 nations stormed them leaving the land of whirlpools in ruins, and the red whirlpool on every jonin jacket and etc is if you ask me major ass kissing hashirama did, it’s also on the headband. ThEORY in plot the leaf was late cause “they couldn’t make it” bullshit hashirama was also scared of them, he just wanted to be the only shinobi to be able to single handedly hold down a tailed beast.

First of all, they could only do that if they wanted to specifically view obito which isn’t likely. Second of all, they were going on a mission which makes it even less likely. Third of all it has a specific range and unless you’re gonna take that thing outside… well you know. Fourth of all, only hiruzen had it and he wasn’t in the hokage position at the time, minato was. Fifth of all, I doubt the third hokage would take that anywhere outside the hokage tower because the 2nd hokage tobirama gave it to him so it was very precious. Sixth of all, it can’t see dead people because it finds people with chakera and chakera is life force and when you die you lose all your life force.Seventh of all, that only matters in shipudden and even if it was in range, we don’t know how far away the bunker madera brought obito to is.
