What if goku found yamoshi in otherworld during the 7 year time skip he learns god ki, learning super saiyan god much earlier but instead of having the version that he normally uses he has the one from battle of gods that heals his wounds. This would be a good way to incorporate yamoshi into the story and put your own spin on the god forms development.

When does this take place . Dragon ball , dragon ball z ,or super? Because I know dragon ball GT isn't relevant besides for super Saiyan 4 transformation I wouldn't say he necessarily has to be "betrayed" he could be accidentally locked in. When someone outside accidentally breaks the door with a ki blast from a sparring match. or maybe the door got used too many times and the door vanishes with Goku inside and it will take 500 days to repair with the guardian of earth powers. The earthlings and z fighters would then gather the dragon balls to make Goku immortal. As his 1 year of food would not last for 500
