I will say, I think this version of Anakin, being more balanced as a person, would also be more capable of defensive dueling, and therefore a better match for Sidious. Not necessarily good enough to defeat him, but I believe this version of Anakin would learn better from Obi-wans defensive teachings than the emotionally unbalanced canon Anakin did, making him a better matchup against Sidious.

What if Anakin received his injuries on Mustafar during the beginning of the Clone Wars? What if Thrawn joined the Separatists with Sev’rance Tann? What if Ashoka Tano was raised by Mother Talzin? What if knowing how treacherous the Sith are and that obviously Palpatine wants Anakin as his apprentice, Dooku set up a deadman switch in case Palpatine betrayed him? Just as Palpatine is declaring the Empire the timer hits 0 and the Holonet is hit with a full confession from Dooku as well as mountains of evidence with conversations between him and Palpatine/Sidious? The spread by the Holonet is done by Super Tactical Droids specifically commanded to ignore any shutdown command.

After Padme died and the rise of the empire Anakin realise that he should live a normal life bumping into Sàbe and falling in love thinking she's Padme until he realise it's one of her handmaidens Anakin talks with her until they start kissing then Anakin pulls away saying that he can't and says he would return after he visits someone he would go to Padme grave saying that he loves her and always will but the time has come for him to move on but he would keep her close in his heart he would leave to be with Sàbe and have a 10 years relationship and have 2 kids Luke and Leia it was what Anakin wanted to call his children Sàbe loved the names and agree this didn't mean Anakin wouldn't visit Padme because he did he would one day take Luke and Leia to meet Padme with his wife Sàbe joining them when they arrive at Padme's grave they would see a figure with a hood over his head Anakin could sense the cold air the darkness Anakin took out his lightsaber telling his family to hide this was what he trained for Anakin would tell himself the hood figure would show his face revealing it to be Darth Sidious this wasn't the first time Anakin felt the cold air he realised that Darth Sidious been watching him Anakin would hold his lightsaber in a battle position ready for Darth Sidious attacks Darth Sidious would hold out his lightsaber and attack Anakin Anakin would then look for an opening knocking Darth Sidious back and using electric judgment to weaken Darth Sidious before killing him Anakin would see his family being taken by stormtroopers he had to think quickly Anakin would use the force to freeze them in place he would then take his family to Padme's grave and talk with Padme showing her his children then they would go home when the children goes to sleep Anakin would go to the senate and tell them that Palpatine was a Sith Lord named Darth Sidious and he was playing both side of the war he would say he killed Palpatine in self-defence after being attacked he would take them to where the frozen stormtroopers where and unfreeze them after they take Anakin Skywalker's side they would allow the Jedi back in the republic Anakin would create a new Jedi order with his kids as his students Obi wan would be with Satine after she said the words Yoda would learn more about the force with Mace by his side Anakin would keep them a seat when they wanted to join his Jedi order and Anakin brought balance to the force
