Here's a very interesting scenario: two for one, in the Revenge of the Sith video game there is an infinites level where Anakin kills Obi-Wan on Mustafar, after the end of the fight a cutscene plays called the Ultimate Revenge of the Sith, Anakin kills Sidious with his new lightsaber (Vader's saber) and takes the mantle of Emperor for himself, so here is the question how does this play out. On a side note another idea I have is what if Anakin fell in love with Riyo Chuchi during the mission to Orto Plutonia see how that would play out. But yeah I'd like to see a continuation of what do you think would happen with the Ultimate Revenge of the Sith ending.

To be fair, basically grooming your Sith apprentice from an early age to truly care for you as a parent (Through not treating them like total shit and buttering them up and not torturing them or telling them they should strive to one day murder you) is a good way to possibly raise a powerful apprentice who *doesn't* poison you in your sleep or shove their lightsaber through your heart when you turn your back.

The point of this aspect of the rule of two was to always ensure that the wiser and stronger of the two existing sith survived. By promoting the infighting that was already inevitable for Darksiders, they didn't have to reveal themselves to the Jedi to get stronger. Rather, the stronger would kill the weaker, and thus the sith would grow stronger over time. And this worked, it resulted in 3-4 generations of the most powerful and badass sith towards the end. Tenebrous, Plagueis, Sidious/Venemous, Maul/Dooku/Vader. All of these dudes were insanely smart and powerful. However, Anakin is literally the most powerful. He should have been the equivalent of Palpatine skipping ten generations of the sith rule of two or ten lifetimes worth of study under the rule of one - Skywalker was the strongest apprentice Palpatine could have possibly wished for. Until he got Kenobi'd and torn between light and dark at least

Sith have been able to advance the rule of two without any evil fuckery before, like one guy kinda just studied a dark side Nexus, stocked up on lore, trained an apprentice and died surrounded by loved ones. It still fits banes vision for the sith bc the stronger and wiser sith lived on. You don't need to be a herald of the end times to be incredibly important to the sith, if Palpatine was able to secure anakins loyalty and actually bond with him, as well as allow him to exist outside the dark side as well(Ie be a parent and husband, while also an enforcer[assuming padme doesn't hit him with a galactic scale divorce for ya know, being a magic super facist] and Jedi hunter) then he'd essentially have guaranteed victory. Trying to min max Anakin as a warrior worked yeah, but bro is force Jesus. Let bro be one of those calmly evil sith that got hella lore and ancient knowledge and shit, not a Leroy Jenkins drop a water tower on a town type of sith. We would be sacrificing Vader's tendency to drop the hardest lines of all time for no other reason than flex for a way stronger Anakin but ya win some ya lose some

Palpatine already wasnt a typical sith. Maybe with his age and experience, he would realize why his former master wanted to alter the rule of two and another sith rules. And considering his already good relationship with Anakin, he could have basically bought his loyalty instead of enforcing it with cruelty. In the end, he might have been able to have a whole family of loyal guardians that would be willing to defend him even if he decided to go on with the cloning project, so that he would not be vulnerable during the transition.

Yeah the route he went here was Far more effective, loyalty from love is stronger than loyalty from fear. By the end of this story it felt like anakin could have called him DAD and it wouldn't have even sounded out of place!

Both the jedi and the sith gain their weaknesses and strengths from their respective beliefs. Love would have patched palpatine's weakness in hindsight, but would have also made him weaker. Passion and empathy could also make jedi less vulnerable to corruption, but would make them biased and open other weaknesses. Basically, everything is always equally balanced, and sheevy woulda had weaknesses either way

He wouldn't, he was obsessed with living forever and becoming something like a God. If Anakin defeated Obi Wan, he would have manipulated Anakin with his children that now would be in control as collateral, because padme escape thanks to obi wan, otherwise Anakin will have tried to save her, probably she would have died anyway. After that Anakin would be a puppet but more powerful, more individual than In canon, but also less dark side of the force because of less hatred by having his family. Palpatine would have ruled better by having him as a second figure of the government, probably either Anakin will try eventually a coup to become emperor or out of fear for his family, he will be loyal and let Palpatine rule until he gets his dream of immortality and godhood. Then and only then Anakin could have had the Sith Skywalker dynasty he wanted even as Dark Vader.

In Canon vader is mentally weakened but not as much and sidous values him WAYYYY more. Vader was growing just not a fast as sidous wanted. But sidous isn’t as scared of vader and wants him to grow. But he also holds a grudge for anakin losing.

@@KombatW0mbat In Legends while Suited Vader became more powerful then he was in ROTS and more skilled and masterful of the force and lightsaber skills even without the mental humilities he would still not reach the level of Yoda, Sidious, And Grandmaster Luke in raw power but if he became a ultimate weapons master not just with sabers but with electrostaffs, thermal destinators, blasters, eon cannons, lightwhips, and other weaponry and had those with him wherever he went I could see him besting all the people mentioned except for Dark Side Yoda, Dark Empire Sidious, And Grandmaster Luke yeah. If Ventress swung her lightsaber a little faster, boom Grievous is now dead and Dooku’s illness from Mother Talzin’s voodoo worsens resulting in Dooku’s death. Yeah, all palatine wanted was the sith empire to rise. He needed anakin's power for that. palpatine only thought of Anakin as a pawn that he could throw away any time.

@@PurplexEdits In Legends he wanted Anakin/Vader as a possible true successor until the heavy deficiencies happened and went on while Anakin/Vader became more powerful, skilled, and masterful in the suit he still would not reach a level where he could over power Sidious one on one unless he mastered Essense transfer where he could go into a younger fit body that is not handicapped yeah.
