Ya probably would over heat. I've heard in captivity they need to always hang around a body of water and swim much more often to adapt because obviously they can't really simulate the Antarctic temperatures. For the polar bear to survive it would basically have to hang out in the water and basically live there to cool down. I think it could potentially survive there but it will probably be pretty stressed with piranha, crocs, etc whom are still better swimmers nipping at him. I think the polar bear is apex enough to survive and could fight anything in the rain forest but the environment is not suitable which is where the problem lies. It would have to adapt by shedding a lot of fur and fat so it doesn't over heat. The heat would probably result in fur shedding and with the change in diet, they would not get as much blubber so they would lose weight as well. Since a large portion of their body is fat they will appear smaller in size than what we are accustomed to, if it had to survive in the rainforest.

I believe the polar bear could adapt to sudden change as long as it isn't too extreme. Certain approaches could lead to a replication of a gradual introduction to the amazon environment. I don't believe the Amazon is harsh enough to lead to the Polar Bears demise.

Alright I'm 6 seconds in but here's what would happen: They would overheat and die, like right fucking practically the second they stepped foot there . Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Also they're accustomed to fat seals and whale blubber not gonna find much of that their. Also also also they've never encountered pirhanas anacondas alligators and they'd have deal with that along with bullsharks and all the venomous insects. Also also, tigers hunt brown bears which usually beat polar bears jaguars are smaller than tigers, but so are the grizzly subspecies of brown bear that beats polar bear much smaller than the brown bears tigers hunt, jaguars would be a problem to polar bears who are used to being apex predators on land at least. They're not used to trees and can't possibly be good climbers which you probably need to be in the fucking Amazon. Ohh and again they'd overheat in fucking seconds. They overheat in tundras ffs they would die of exhaustion and heat strokes immediately. Plus the only bears you find in rainforest are insectivorous or vegetarian if bamboo forests count, probably not but still. Closest thing. They're the only hyper carnivore bears meaning they can only be sustained by hunting, in the overheating exhaustion environment they'd be in with unfamiliar animals that can climb out the water usually onto the trees where the bear probably can't follow it. And being hyper carnivore polar bears they can't sustain themselves on any of the abundant vegetation or insects they have to maintain this grueling hunt instead. Oh and they'd get swallowed by pirhanas Probably anacondas too. Might even try to fuck with a bunch of otters thinking they're an easy meal only to get ganged up on. They are cooked in so many ways and so quickly litterally and figuratively .
