+RebelsReport Legends still holds its own canon. It is not completely scraped unless something contradicts the new EU. For instance, Grand Admiral Thrawn from Legends is staying in canon and is not being dispensed with. What you say about the force choke is true for the most part, but some people have powered through it to got a shot off. Boba Fett was one of them. Vizsla could very well be as tough as Boba since he is from the same culture. Force lightning is also usually enough to subdue an opponent, but Maul has powered though it before, not by the force, but by his general resilience.

I think you forgot to factor in Obi-Wan's feelins for Empress Satine in terms of her execution, especially given that it would be anounced weeks in advanced. Also the fact that Sabine is a member of Clan Vizsla, therein affecting the ghost crew and maybe even meaning that Ezra would never join.

In my post I said he would have to launch a sneak attack on the Capitol building with The Grand Inquisitor and other top inquisitors. Stormtroopers would be useless against Mandalorians, their training and morale wouldn't be close. Many Inquisitors will die but Mandalore is historically the strongest empire other than sith or republic so it's worth taking out. What if Darth Vader and Inquisitors attacked, while Ezra Kanan and Ahsoka were working out an alliance with pre Viszla? Ezra Kanon, Ahsoka, Pre-Viszla Vs Darth Vader & Inquisitors? I'm about.

One thing you are forgetting in Rebels: Sabine wouldn't have joined. From what we know so far she joined the rebellion from disgust over the Empires actions, which she saw as a cadet. In the new timeline she would never have been a cadet, and she would (if the Empire made a deal) be raised as an isolationist, so she wouldn't have been concerned with the Empires actions, or (if the Empire conquered) as a member of clan Vizla would either be executed or have a close eye kept on her such that joining the rebellion would be impossible. There is a chance she might've joined the rebellion if the Empire made a deal, but it wouldn't have been solely her decision, there would be groups of Mandalorians fighting the Empire.

I think palpatine knows the strength of the mandalorians and somewhat respects them for what they are. he knows they don't give a shit about anyone else and mind their own business. I figure that sidious would leave them alone, but still put the mandatory imperial tax on them if nothing else. If he did try to control Mandalore by military force, I assume he would be smart enough to send in Vader and a few inquisitors the first time.

Pretty much impossible. Pre vizla best option would be to say no force user would lead mandalorians, something with historical backing, and have darth maul ambushed. A competent force user always has the advantage over a standard warrior as a trained force user can predict your moves. Furthermore, even if he wins, new sources of beskar haven’t been found yet, which means the empire can bombard mandalore into oblivion if they fail to win the ground war.

The madalores may have seen the aggressive expansion by the empire and thus may of tried to attack the empire's claims in fear that they would be next. Which could possibly kick off the rebellion a lot earlier on and could of seen the rebels better equipped with their potential madalore allies.....

Satine already called Obi Wan for help so he would rescue her and escape Mandalore possibly senting up a government in exile because not all of the mandolorians would agree with Vizsla or still were loyal to Satine and thus Mandalore would go into civil war between Vizsla's Death Watch and Satine's support from the Republic Mandalorians

IDK if there was an update to this but of course not only Ezra's path would be very different without Maul to tempt him, but Sabine's as well. Because she went to Dathomir with Kanan to follow Ezra, she never would've found the Darksaber, and as a result would've never learned to use it and it's very possible that without the Darksaber as a motivator, she never would've sought out the other Wrens and freed them from Saxon and the Empire, meaning Mandalore is still firmly under Gar Saxon and the Empire unless there was another way to meet again. If the recent episodes are any indication, the Duchess weapon might not even be destroyed, unless Thrawn's suggestion to find Sabine still rang true here.

I believe that if Almec was allowed to live, we would be left with these three eventualities: Almec, at the end of the conflict between Mandalore and the Empire, is executed by the new regime. Secondly, Almec could use the chaos of the war to escape prison and go into hiding. The mission to malachor would had also played very differently, ahsoka and kanan wouldn't hold much ground against 3 inquisitors, and possibly fifth brother would be the only one killed, forcing the seventh sister to approach the situation tactically and contact lord vader to reinforce them leaving vader to fight and kill ahsoka, while the other two inquisitors finish off kanan and ezra or ezra escapes with chopper without the sith holocron (since maul wouldn't help him with the door).

What if after a first failed attempt to take Mandalore, not expecting the kind of resistance that Vizla created Palpateen sends in Vadar, and Vadar fails. With many of the old clone troop battalions going to Mandalore after the clone army was dismantled under the emporer, feeling betrayed by the empire and angry over how they were forced to kill their Jedi allies. Mandalore is built up even more, in both ground troops and a navy, and repels the empire again, shredding the 501st, and Thrawns armada. As great as Vadar is, he can't concur a planet single-highhandedly. Vadar returns empty handed the Galactic empire has lost of ton of troops, cash and face in these two defeats, so not to look weak Palpateen cuts a deal with Madandalore, paying them off to try to save whatever face he can. And 20 years later, the first planet destroyed by the death star isn't Alderon, it's Mandalore.

All of this works so well except the Darth Vader part. I do not believe Darth vader would be able to win this one for the empire. He isn't that powerful. I believe eventually the deathstar would've been used as a threat to the mandalorians. Though I HIGHLY doubt Sidious would do this because it would piss of the mandalorians who would most definitely assist the rebellion. I believe the empire would've given them a sweet ass deal they couldn't turn down and would make them loyal to the empire.

I'm surprised you didn't discuss Ahsoka and Rex, who of course led the Siege. Since there's no Maul, Ahsoka never would've had a reason to go back to Anakin and Obi-Wan for help, which is what ended up with Anakin leaving her with Rex and half of the 501st. IDK where Ahsoka would be during this time, but since the 501st never has a detachment sent to Mandalore, they would presumably still be on Coruscant. This would leave Anakin with Rex, so when Order 66 rolls around, if Rex had indeed removed his inhibitor chip by that time, Anakin now Vader would notice Rex not going along with the order. Question is, could Rex survive the wrath of a fresh Sith Lord, or would Vader and the 501st execute him on the spot for not going along with the order?

well he did show anikin and reks but it was explained away as a tumor by the emperor who if you didn't notice has been grooming anikin like a pedophile for the past half decade. Reks being a clone would have either fallen in or been killd but im fairly sure it was all addressed in the clone wars show in season 6.

Another possibility is the empire carrying out a Base Delta Zero. With a entire population refusing to cave and the entire planetary civilization essentially being a war machine, a Base Delta Zero operation would be considered. And before anyone asks; yes the BDZ is now canon. A successful BDZ was mentioned in Rebels.
