I came up with a very interesting idea: what if the Russian Empire established colonies in Africa? What if in the late 1870s and 80s Russia got in on the scramble for Africa? Assuming they came from their black Sea ports through the newly opened Suez Canal their colonies would be in East Africa. Let's just as an example say they took Madagascar, British Somalia and Tangyanika was split in 2 with the south being Russian and the north German (and later British). There could br 2 scenarios: if they remained colonies gaining independence in the 50s/60s or being incorporated into the Soviet Union and remaining until the 90s

Collectivisation actually STOPPED the famines, not CAUSE them. And soviets didn't even have that many starvation problems, for majority of history they were food secure. After 1933 the famines only returned during war, because that's what invasion does to you, and then ended after 1947. So the facist Russia wouldn't really have all that different food situation than USSR.

I like that you factored Ukraine into this scenario. Kolchak would have had major issues with the Ukrainians. However, I am not sure Poland would quite have those eastern borders - they were formed once the Poles tired of fighting the Soviets. I imagine that however those borders would be determined would heavily affect Ukrainian perceptions of either group and result in a large clash between the Poles and Kolchak

Interesting end. So Italy ends up as an Empire at the end of it. It took Spain and huge chunk of Africa as well as Albania. I am not sure how long Germany would wait until taking on France. As Germany really did want France as it was part of the Holy Roman Empire. So I do believe that they would have gone for it. The other nations around wouldn't really mind Germany taking out the Communist nation or if Italy could manage to do it. Which if you paint France Green It basically has the Western Roman Empire restored with likely minimal casualties. Italy given time alone long enough. It may have actually renamed itself as Rome.

Something I don't see mentioned alot is that the white army was not as unified as the reds. It was less commies versus kings but more everyone versus the Bolsheviks. The whites even had socialists in their ranks who opposed the Bolsheviks. This lead to infighting. The whites also didn't use propaganda effectively, while the reds did, meaning the public didn't support them
