If you do a darker red, maybe do a darker blue, and use the old red and current blue* for the occupied and the old even brighter colors for the controlled but not occupied if you want to make it more complex. And vice versa with the darker and lighter. A neon blue and red could be for attacked and not occupied and the occupied could be the less neon blue and red currently being used.** * The blue used for alliances/sides at the time of upload. ** At the time of upload "I am a strong non-mountain believer."

A Chinese invasion of them even without USA and South Korean/Japanese intervention would take months if not years, but a Chinese invasion of Taiwan WITH them would be an utter failure.
