Minty pop That's probably because in a lot of animes they usually don't make much of a difference between an adult' s face and a young teen's face.They usually have the same face proportions. Sailor moon is an extreme example where 100 yr old adult Usagi looks exactly the same as middle school Usagi. It makes sense when highschoolers look like their adult selves because lots of teens look like adults after they turn 16 but with middle schoolers it's kinda weird.

BookFace CurlyQ I think Lavender's style is very western like. It has everything checked from exaggerated body features to the clothes. Its similar to the japanese style because it can also be considered as chibi art too.
