I would give him a chaos control counter as his down special and give him a teleport up special that releases a small chaos blast and can deal damage when you teleport near an opponent, I’d also change his forward aerial into a kick that can spike, it’d be cool if Sonic had the same forward aerial as well.

@zoff. I kinda disagree with Shadow being his own character. They can change his movement animation, but if we see how he attacks in SA2, then his natural B works, also his final smash can be the same as his assit trophy, Dark pit has a different final smash.

Jab: Sonic’s jab Run: Shadow’s run Dash Attack: His Roundhouse Kick from Forces (I’d choose literally anything else but Forces works) Tilts: F-Tilt: Roundhouse Kick Down-Tilt: Sonic’s Down Tilt but it functions more like Falco’s Down Tilt Up Tilt: Stun Snap (When he snaps his fingers he creates a little stun hit box that can be used to combo, assets can be taken from Sonic Battle when he snaps a Chaos Sphere or literally any fan animation when he spawns projectiles during him freezing time) Smash Attacks: F-Smash: The Roundhouse Kick from 06 (At least he has one good moment from that game) Down Smash: Chaos Barrier from Sonic Battle Up Smash: Twin Chaos Sphere (When he launches them they explode after 3 frames from being launched) Specials: Neutral B: Homing Attack Side B: Chaos Sphere Up-B: Chaos Control (Teleport)(He can air dodge and use aerials out of this) Down B: Chaos Control(Time-Freeze)When he uses this he creates a little zone around the person who hits him stopping them from move until Shadow attacks him (functions like a Counter). Aerials: Up-Air: An aerial similar to Mario Up-air (Used for juggling) Nair: Sonic’s Nair Fair: His haymaker in the Shadow the Hedgehog opening cutscene (Can be used to spike) Dair: Fires a Chaos Sphere Downward (Functions like Mega-Man Dair, just remove some of the startup lag) Bair: Sonic’s Bair used in the Sonic’s new move set mod (Look up the Sonic move set video from MasterOfHyrule) Final Smash: Goes into his Super Form, blitzes the entire stage with a barrage of lightspeed strikes (Like Diddy Kong’s Final Smash) then he teleports to the middle of the stage and Chaos Blasts

Shadow would be an awesome idea echo fighter, but he has his own skills that would spice up the rest of the moveset. If anyone had to be Sonic’s echo, it would probably be Metal Sonic.

Yeah, give him a proper move set. Why don't we start a petition for a proper shadow placement? i am talking chaos, spear, chaos control, chaos barrier, on top of super shadow doubling the power of chaos spear alongside nightmare like come on shadow is way over due in smash anyways 😂😂 him and knuckles like come on now. I would love to see his jet shoes across the field and flying ever where, warping all over the place don't taunting me like this, bro.

He should have ability to teleport to other enemy after homing attack, chaos spear to stun, control to teleport away, blast to attack stronger than his fists (maybe as the final move)

Until this day I wonder why he's not an eco fighter to Sonic. Shadow is one of those characters who need more than assist trophy. Sakurai promoted Dark Samus as an eco fighter to Samus. Why didn't he do it with Shadow?

Ok, i know i’m late but this makes considering it’s Nintendo and SEGA, if Nintendo wanted to make Shadow playable, Shadow would be echo fighter for Sonic with two unique moves, Up B is Chaos Control, a teleport recovery, Side B would be Chaos Spear, a projectile move. Of course, Shadow will have unique animations and a unique victory theme like Dark Pit.

Given Sonic x Shadow Generations happened, I like the idea of Shadow’s homing attack is warped, assuming he used a bit of Chaos Control to teleport as he does homing attack. The difference…. Weaker attack than Sonic’s homing attack, but comes with more I frames as he warps at its location, distance is same as Sonic’s and can go after players depending on the distance like Sonic’s, forcing aggressive players to be cautious. His dash attack is Sonic’s old move, spin dash. Shadow’s down throw will be Shadow stomping his opponent down and shoot Chaos Spear at it, similar to Charizard’s down throw. Forward Throw is Chaos Blast, faster charge up too which can harm any enemy players nearby.

For Shadow's Move set I would give him chaos control as his recovery move, Chaos Spears would work the same way mario's fire ball would but instead it would be straight as for his finisher combo it would be chaos lance (Bigger Chaos Spear) and for his ultimate move get him in his super form summon chaos spears at everyone and go back to the center and finish off with a giant chaos blast or Chaos Control everyone to space and blast them with the eclipse cannon from the Space Colony: ARK

Think his chaos spear would work better if it was similar to Ness since they work and look kinda the same. It wouldn't be a multi hit but it might stun enemies a bit.
