Knuckles is a main character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic echidna and the current guardian of Master Emerald, a powerful ancient relic which is his solemn duty to protect from anyone seeking to abuse it. He is also the sole remaining descendant of the Knuckles Clan and the last of the echidnas on earth. His dominant traits are his super strength, and the two spike-like knuckles on each of his hands, from which his name is derived from, which he can use to dig with and climb walls. He can also trap the wind under his dreadlocks to glide through the air. A loner by nature, Knuckles is independent, headstrong and serious, yet gullible and short-tempered to a fault. He is entirely devoted to his duty, spending most of his time on Angel Island protecting Master Emerald, and rarely cares for anything that is of no importance. When his friends and others are in need of his help, however, Knuckles can always be relied on being willing to leave his post and prove himself a faithful and good-hearted hero. He is also one of Sonic's oldest friends and rivals.

The fact that Sonic is the only character from his franchise is a crime. I love Smash Ultimate to death but I feel they dropped the ball hard with a majority of the DLC characters. More Sonic chatacters, Earthworm Jim, Bubble Bobble Bros, Dixie Kong, Kranky Kong, Super Monkey Ball character, can go on and on. I like some of the sword characters and anime characters but there's def a oversaturation with those fighters and feels like it kind of moved away from the heart and soul of what Smash originally was. But that's just my opinion.

Very Interesting. If one day they add knuckles in smash , i'll buy the DLC. The thing is than , I'm pretty scared. Because , they can add knuckles , but don't respet his character . Like , who says than Nintendo will respect the fact than Knuckles can literally throw Bowser + KingKRool away with one hand. Who says than Nintendo will respect the fact than Knuckles can destroy tree with his gloves. It's the problem. I'm bored than Nintendo is not adding more Sonic Characters , he could be cool , but Nintendo prefer to had the Piranha Plant.

If they do decide to make Knuckles playable in Smash? I believe Sakurai will make sure Knuckles is represented correctly, look at the other third party characters like Pac-Man, Belmonts, Banjo, Ryu, and Terry. Sakurai made sure they stay true to their original characters' designs from their respectful series. (Unless Sakurai step down as game director) 😅

But it's like Sonic Or Shadow , Sonic characters are so op sometimes than they can beat all of the smash character , it's why they need to make them more ' ' calm ' ' , like sonic is not faster as he could be , things like this. But the cool thing is than in smash , they respect the sonic characters series , just look at the Sonic trailer in Smash Brawl , he literally beated up mario. But i'm just saying than it can be cool to add like in their other licence in smash , a bad guy , and a friend of the hero. Like look at the Donkey's kong Licence , they have a bad guy ( K rool ) playable in Smash and a friend of the hero ( Diddy Kong ) and the main character / hero ( Donkey Kong ) . Sonic is the main character / Hero of his licence , so they can add Eggman and Knuckles or Tails. The thing is than Knuckles is a good character to play I think , because he has more attack for smash like he can punch , spindash , kick , plane. But tails can be cool too , like a Final Smash where his X-Tornado Crash on players , Like the Moon but Faster. and He could use like little blaster on his fists for shooting his ennemy's at distance. And he can also use spindash and fly , like K rool using his sort of weird helmet for flying , tails would do the same damage using his tails. But I think than Robotnick would be weird to play , Like he is also in Machine. Maybe he can be in a sort of car when he is on the ground , he could fly with his weird plane , things like this. But it could be more interesting if they add Knuckles and Metal Sonic , or Tails and Metal Sonic or Knuckles and Tails , it can make the Sonic Team. Or maybe Knuckles and Shadow or Tails and Shadow , or Shadow and metal sonic ( but I won't like this combo Shadow + Metal sonic in smash )

I get why Shadow and Knuckles should be in Smash Ultimate. One because Knuckles is the last Master Emerald Guardian along with basically being the last Echidna of his time and two with Shadow being the ultimate life form because of Project Shadow by Eggman and his cousin Maria's grandfather Professor Gerald Robotnik and how he was designed to destroy Black Doom.

He deserves to be in the roster! & Imagine poor Knux's extreme shyness getting the best of him when it comes to one thing: WOMEN!!! Like just picture it! Okay let me get this suggestion into more of a reasonable way. Why on earth didn't Knuckles appear as a playable fighter for Smash Ultimate, when you can see Knuckles running a background for Green Hill stage. Tails and Silver made thorough smash ultimate appears but as Green Hill running up background stage not playable fighters. Nintendo!
