Yeah, looking at the final screen dragon, ice, flying, and ghost were all used twice with the only outlier being steel. The designs are great but at the start of the video he said he would use whatever seemed cool but out of 9 Pokémon he used 5 different types, which is 5 out of the 18 types.

Gotta say, I think Flying Tepig has to be my fav which surprises me cause I'm not really a big fan perse of it. Would love to see how that little flying breakfast item evolves. Ghost Chimchar is definitely fun. And another starter that isn't one I care for is Chespin, but I actually enjoyed the overall ice design and what you put into it. Nice job with these.

@@HoopsandHipHop Hey, random thought idea I had the other day. Since it seems every main gen game now has some kind of gimmick, what about the idea of a kind of pokemon fusion as a future idea? Or mainly, what if we got either new forms/evolutions of pokemon that adopted traits from their proximity(whether positive or negative) to other pokemon. Thus resulting in a kind of hybridization. Could be a cool gimmick for a generation to explore. Also might be a fun concept are video for you to explore as well some time. And think, great opportunity for an Eeveelution!

Glad you clarified that these typings are just you doing you're own thing because that reduces a lot of criticism I have on some of these designs. In fact the worst I can say right now is that some of these look less like a type swap and more like entirely different pokemon

I mean there’s only 3-4 witchy Pokémon. And all either use Psychic, ghost or fairy. So ghost is very much included in the witch variety.

Witches are always closely related to ghosts whether it be themselves being brought back from the back by curses or summoning them themselves. I’m surprised there not more ghostly witch Pokémon. Tbh

@@44dav44 witches are only misassociated with ghosts because of contemporary bad horror movies. Witches literally come from the pre-Christian practitioners of folk knowledge, midwifery, brewmaking, herbal medicine, and the cultures, traditions, and spiritual practices associated with those more Earth-based religions. Witches are based on real people that CHRISTIANS demonized for not giving up their culture and identity. Witch Pokémon then should obviously be most associated with Fairy type, then base elemental types next like Grass, Fire, Water, Flying, etc. Sure. You can sort of say that witches have ghostly associations, but overall it’s the weakest argument you could make. Honestly since what’s known as witches today specifically comes from the belief systems that were based upon animism and reference when the majority of humanity had more similar spiritual and religious beliefs/practices, a stronger argument could be made for them being Normal type over Ghost type.

The Sinnoh Starters look awesome & I will pick Turtwig, The Unova Starters look amazing & I will pick Piplup, and the Kalos Starters look wonderful, and I pick Chespin. Continue with The Alola, Galar, & Paldea Starters, giving them different types then do their Evolution Lines.

I think the Chespin one isn't good, the fact that it has cold and it showcases that on it's face is doesn't seem to fit for a starter Pokemon. Yes the look of suffering is showcased on Pokemon like Galarian Corsola, but it's not a starter. I think you should keep the overall design as it is but just remove the cold showcasing on it's face. Other than that awesome ideas all around.

Sinnoh starters: Chimpolter (chimp + poltergeist), Turtarrask (turtle + Tarrasque (a dragon from the legend of the French town of Provence)), Pipcicle (pip + icicle) Unova starters: Wyrmedea (wyrm + Medea), Poppiglet (could get evolutions named Boarloon Dirigiboar), Otterai (otter + samurai) Kalos starters: Snifflepin(?), Gravulpes (grave + vulpes), Stratoad (stratus + toad (even though he's a frog...))

piplup is amazing, i am definitely going with it oshawott looks perfect too, definitely a great starter!! froakie looks the best and also makes the most sense for the lore reason. i was actually hoping id like the fennekin and chespin designs, but they just miss for me. i would have liked to see purple instead of grey used for fennekins design personally, but their concepts are great!!

If you just care about the starter itself, pick Greninja, coolest of the bunch in my opinion. However, in the post-game, the starter Pokemon that you choose will determine which Legendary Bird you can catch. You can either catch Articuno (Chespin), Zapdos (Fennekin) or Moltres (Froakie).
