If anyone wants to know. 2 days ago before or after a game, Caitlin was asked about the 3 point contest and Caitlin said no one from the WNBA had contacted her. CC had more to lose by participating. If she didn't do well as her competitors, it would go viral in a negative way and distract her and her fans. She is aware of the situation and realized it was best to not to play.

It’s the WNBA equivalent of Lebron not participating in a dunk contest.

I think all the reasons you said why CC may not want to do the 3pt are the reasons the W DOESNT want her in the contest, invited or not. I think the invitation was a poor attempt to make up for all the wrong actions or inaction the W has taken against CC and she rightly declined.

Watch this All-Star game Cheryl Miller will have her team run at Team USA all game. And those girls don't like running 😂❤ Team USA will slow it down post it up and try to control the tempo. But Caitlin Clark can run these 'women' off the floor! Two point guards even though Caitlin can play 40 mins at a high tempo. But don't be surprised if Caitlin plays the most minutes of anyone. Cheryl Reeve is gonna get her ass kicked by Caitlin Clark again 😂❤

She's tired and she honestly doesn't practice that way, she said it today and in her humble way admitted to probably not being that great at it since she never just shoots racks. Videos I've seen even in the private gym, she's using a retrieval machine and usually blends game-situation moves on each shot. MAYBE this winter when she finally gets to rest after playing non-stop for over a year, she can "fart around" with racks of 3s. I remember a Larry Legend interview in the 80s where they were asking him about all those wild shots he'd take and make while falling down, over his shoulder, from behind the backboard, etc. He used to spend like a half hour after practice every day just rebounding his misses with immediate shots towards the hoop no matter where he retrieved the ball from and regardless of how his body was turned. Not to mention, 40 years ago the technology was "a guy rebounding" the misses and passing it back to the shooter, now they have machines that rebound and pass it back. CC practices to emulate game situations like that. These "contests" that fill up all star weekends are kind of new to her.

Let's also relax on the Men vs. Women game. A smaller ball in a 3-point contest is a very big deal.

She is pretty clear that she is tired and needs rest. As somebody who has watched almost every game of hers for the past four years, I can tell she is tired. It is readily apparent. Watch her when she has a month off to rest and get in the gym.

When they pulled the title from Ali they set up a tournament. And Joe Frazier said screw that. He was then recognized by New York State as the champion. New York was the mecca of heavyweight boxing, MSG.

A lot of people wanted to see Lebron in the dunk contest Dan....he was 6'9" freakish athlete with an insane vertical leap....many people were curious as to what he could pull off with that height and insane vertical...dont act like you didnt want to see him in the dunk contest in his prime.
@robertryan6273 ай бұрын
Dunk contest goes to freaky jumpers and the shorter the better. Lebron is too big to get freaky airtime and because of his height isn’t as impressive as the shorter guys. Power dunks rule the league play but not the contests.
@javierdelgado15543 ай бұрын
@@robertryan627 I get what you're saying...but Lebron with his athleticism and vertical would have been able to do some pretty impressive and cool looking dunks.

Dan’s Lebron take was so bad. Nobody is asking for Lebron at this age anymore, we were asking when he was younger. And during that time he was actually an amazing in game dunker

Clark's every decision, every move, every word is put under the microscope. Besides all the reasons you said, could she just not want to do it and can that be OK. Why do we have to read more into every little thing. Besides she is at 99/100 pressers day in day out, has sponsors commitments to meet, training, Fever obligations and you all giving her hard time because she said no. Really. I get it, a lot of people just want to see her and are disappointed. That's fine, but do not give her hard time for not being there.

@vegasundercoverarushslings43443 ай бұрын
I agree with your take on this DP. However, I believe she is in a no-win situation if she loses it and then performs subpar against the Olympic team; it's not good for her brand. It's a good business decision but bad for the WNBA and her fans. They have crowned her the best 3-point shooter in history already, and she's not participating in her first opportunity?
