I'm not going to lie, Drew, your idea for the densely-populated Svalbard is actually pretty cool. Discovering a new resource that was unknown to man would definitely change a lot for the area, it's almost too good to pass up for like, a fictional setting. Arctic cyberpunk stuff in Svalbard? That'd be great.

That sounds kinda like what happens if you try the North Pole route in the game "80 Days". There's a city in or near Svalbard that had gone completely underground (I know you definitely stop off at Svalbard at some point), the whole world was steampunk, and there was a North Pole Confederation where all the cultures who lived up there came together at the pole to make their own new country. It was badass! :D
