Threatens mantis? You sure? Most of the time the hornet was just walking around and randomly stepped on both mantises. If the hornet was hungry it could've killed those mantises both. The problem is that they attacked it so many times and the hornet was still trying to escape instead of defending itself.

@@MarSHornetsandWasps-v26 That depends largely on circumstances. While hornets are wildly aggressive little monsters, the praying mantis is an ambush predator designed to restrain and rip apart its intended meal. If a mantis gets the drop on its target, it'll win 90% of the time. Hornets are swarming predators, specialized mauling their prey to death with their mandibles, stinging typically being reserved for creatures too large for them to simply overpower. They're much more adept at active combat.

B B Possible. But he’s shown the Mantis die before. A year ago we saw the scorpion win. Plus Mantises have poisonous claws, so maybe the hornet died and he just skipped over the hornet slowly dying and the mantis deliberating before walking over to it. The hornet was fighting pretty hard in most confrontations, so that may be why the mantis didn’t eat it while fighting- because it couldn’t. Every time it seemed to have tried, it looked like the hornet was aiming its stinger at the mantis’s head. Cheers.

I've never seen them fight, but interesting the mantis came out on top in this video. I thought the hornet would take it, but this mantis is a boss. Pretty cool stuff.
