I have bagged multiple H7's. Since I live in Prodigy country in GA I have about 5 from tournament Player Packs. It is quite popular in this area. I played with someone in a tournament one time and threw a gem of a hyzer flip, late turn, and slow drift to the right and one of my card mates immediately said, "H7!" even though he didn't see the disc before I threw it.

When prodigy refreshed their logos for the newer run stuff they updated all the flight numbers to be more "accurate" to the real thing. The white H7 you have is of the older variety

Nice comparisons! I bought one Gorgon in Star plastic, but it's way too flippy for me. Might bag it as a roller once I've practiced rollers enough to trust them. Got two Trails at the same time and they fly like a dream. I would really like to see you make a comparison video with the Rhythm and the Trail. In my opinion they fly exactly the same, but the Rhythm is just a touch slower.

One stark difference I noticed between the H7 and trail is the trail rim is very concave where as the H7 rim seems very convex. I think that’s why the trail is more overstable

My star Gorgon has never flown like that. I generally get a nice big turn to the right and predictable fade at the end on my backhand.

That -4 on the H7 seemed spot on. I use an H5. Much more controllable. Interesting enough tho because my F7 is awesome and only has -3 turn… I guess the F and H series are not numbered the same

H7 looks like a great disc for someone like me with a slow arm speed!

Different flight numbers are not without precedent. The Gorgon has different numbers between plastics, but it's the turn number that is different. The GStar is -3 turn, and all the othet plastics are -2, even the Pro Plastic. I think the explanation of the stamp and brand refresh is probably more likely for the H7. That being said, I just saw that Prodigy is releasing a "Retroflight Full Color Series" in 200 plastic and the spped is 10.

Nice thing about the Gorgon is that it's available in slightly lighter weights. The Trail and F7 are pretty much only made in max weights so they're not an option for me. Looks like the Gorgon has a more rounded edge than the other two.

I just ordered some PA-5s from Prodigy’s site. I noticed the 400 and 750 have the same flight numbers of 3/4/-2/0.5 while the new Reblend has 3/3/-2/0.5. I’m wondering if they are still updating flight numbers like they did a couple of years ago.
@nathanives61662 күн бұрын
The H7 has the same numbers as a Roadrunner. Expect the numbers are accurate. My star RR is always beefier than the numbers suggest. They both have that same convex wing shape.

The numbers on a H7 are the same as a Roadrunner. A comparison might be closer than the Gorgon.
@alanlundberg4534Күн бұрын
I sensed a little frustration on your party as though you were throwing six different discs that almost all didn't behave the way you expected. It seems that with modern discs, you should be able to have some confidence that they would all fly fairly close to their numbers. So, I would have expected the Trails to be relatively straight, the two Gorgons to be more under-stable with the GStar having a little more turn, then the H7s to have the most turn, but be similar to each other. I personally hate spending the time to select a disc, based on it's flight numbers, then having to start the process over when its flight is way off from those numbers.

Prodigy updated a bunch of their flight numbers in July of 2023 and the H7 went from a 9 to a 10 speed.

You rarely throw anything on enough hyzer to see these understable discs fly. It’s just a function of your natural release.

Me reading the title: ooh, I'm'a want that. Me seeing the H7: Oh, I've got a couple of those. Personally, I agree it's not as flippy as the -4 turn rating would suggest. The older run I have had both the 400 and 500 numbered at 9,5,-4,1 as well. Not sure what's up with the change, kind of wonder if they just bumped the rating to 10 to help market its similarity to the trail and gorgon.
