If your model was correct, the solar system would be moving through the galaxy. I've seen simulations where the solar system moved through the radioactive cloud of a nebula that may have caused an extinction event. The new models have made it possible to come up with varying hypotheses that try to explain how we got here.

when you delete all planet that have moon but not earth, we will get?
@ethanfranzen8684 Жыл бұрын
I love the idea, but your execution sucks. Try flybys. Put the stars on an ecliptic orbit. I don't want them getting so close together that they fling each other and none of the planets follow them. Try getting them to get as close as 5 AU, as close as 16 AU and as close as 40 AU and as close as 89 AU (about). You should also start the stars at least 200 AU away from each other. Alternatively, you could leave the two stars in orbit and just keep it running to patiently see how long it takes for each planet to get ejected. How much will the gas giants wreck the inner planets before they lose those wildly eccentric and obviously unstable orbits? It pains me that you say you care about Pluto, but delete even bigger moons. I say leave at least one moon per planet. I would like to see the perturbations of moons within the gas giant systems. There aren't very many objects larger than Pluto in there. I don't know if it will lag too much if you just delete objects lighter than Pluto.

What if the sun was big enough to become a black hole but not big enough to go supernova. Meaning a failed supernova but with the planet Jupiter as a red dwarf or a orbiting the black hole with its own habitable planets. Please do a birth to death with the red dwarf turning into a bright hot Blue dwarf then to a white dwarf then to a black dwarf yes it will be a long and boring video but to someone might be interested in it. Like have a slightly larger sun like star with a red dwarf orbiting way out in the frost zone something like that would be cool I would do it myself but i don't have a computer strong enough to get universe sandbox 2 someday I will. By the way does anybody know what kind of laptop or computer would be able to handle universe sandbox 2 ? 👍👍.
@Kmmlc11 ай бұрын
You'd be talking direct collapse which would only happen in the most massive of stars. If we were to come up with a technology that allowed the manipulation of gravity so that you could cause a direct collapse that would work since once an object becomes a black hole it pretty much stays one as long as it's fed. But the smaller it is, the hotter (Hawking Radiation) and it will radiate it's energy away faster.

"For a star to explode as a Type II supernova, it must be several times more massive than the sun (estimates run from eight to 15 solar masses)." That's from a web search. So then why do these two Suns go supernova?
@Kmmlc11 ай бұрын
They didn't go Type II. Most likely one stole enough mass from the other to go Type I and it obliterates them both since they would be so close.

18:34 - I bet jupiter in that case will become a sun, after absorbing a lot of the solar mass that got ejected from the supernova.
@Kmmlc11 ай бұрын
Just to get it to red dwarf territory it would need to pick up 80x it's mass, and all that mass is going to be travelling very fast. It's unlikely either Jupiter would have enough time to pick up that much mass.

@@raggedclawstarcraft6562 13 tines more mass for brown dwarf. The issue would be the violence of the explosion of the stars is very likely to rip mass off of either Jupiter instead of giving mass.
