fun fact from a local! the falls are also known as suicide falls because so many people jump every year. those who work the ferry cruises at the bottom have to be trained on what to do when they find a body and how to hide it from tourists. my brother told me some stories they told him when he was being trained.

Actually when I was younger and didn't know how to drive I watched a video that was about what if the breaks didn't work how to "stop" or slow down without to much damage to yourself and others. The video said to put the car in neutral. Don't remember how it works exactly but like a year ago it was raining and did a crazy big turn getting off the highway the car tires slipped and I lost control of the car and ended up just drifting into the other side where the grass was thank goodness. But honestly the first thing that I though of at that moment was the video and so I did and not one scratch to myself, my husband or the car.

Hi!! I really like your videos. I would really love to watch videos on these topics. 1. What if dark matter and dark energy were not there? 2.What if time started moving backwards? 3.What if we grew from old to infant? 4.What if all planets moved counter clockwise? Or every planet moved clockwise? 5. What if earth captured the passing asteroid or comet in its gravity and caught another natural satellite? Will it affect the tides on earth? If it's a asteroid, could we find information about formation of solar system? 6.What if future generations came in today's world to change the past? 7.What if every planet had life possible? How would this affect evolution of species on earth? 8.What if every planet was in their star's goldilocks zone? 9. What if diamonds rained on earth? How would it affect the life on earth? 10. What if galaxy inside a galaxy was possible? 11.What if all the planets were living creatures? 12. What if our dreams could become reality? 13. What if our nose really got larger by telling lies? 14. What if there was more freshwater than ocean water on earth? 15.What if cartoon characters become a reality ? 16. What if everyone had the same IQ? 17.What if Oort's cloud was present in the earth's orbit or earth was located in Oort's cloud? 18.What if no-one could see colours i.e. everyone was color blind? 19.What if earth was located in asteroid belt? 20.What if we sent robots on intergalaxy missions to unwind the uncertainties of space ? 21.What if we could invent a drawing pencil whose drawings could become real? 22.What if we never fell ill? 23. What if intelligent species on other planets discovered us? 24. What if earth had multiple moons? How will it effect the tides and revolution of earth? 25. What if sound travelled through vaccum and light did not? We would never get sunlight and we could hear astronauts talk on moon through recording. 26. What if universe expanded at a higher rate? Would gravity and other forces be affected? 27. What if every country in the world had the same currency? 28. What if everyone had equal rights in all countries ? Our planet would really become a heaven if corruption was also not there. 29. What if all natural resources were renewable? 30. What if supernova radiation encounter earth? 31. Also, the word Niagara is derived from the native american word "Ongiarrah" (various spellings). It has been interpreted it to mean "the throat" or "the straight" or possibly "thundering waters". The Niagara River is techinically a 36-mile strait between the Great Lakes Erie and Ontario.

We drove here in the very early 80s , 14 hour drive from the Midwest in a Ford LTD station wagon. As a 9 year old, Niagara Falls was huge, and overwhelming at the time. I'd like to visit them again one day

Was just here. Hard to really capture the power of the falls unless you get up close. In the city they have a Ripley's Believe or Not museum, and it has a whole exhibit built around the falls and the people who tried to go over, including the many who were not fortunate enough to survive. This video kinda avoided getting into the deaths, of which there have been thousands (often suicides but some accidents too). One guy in 1990 apparently was so confident he'd make it (in a kayak of all things) he even made dinner reservations. He did not make it, and his body was never recovered. Fun fact: the lady who went over on her 63rd birthday sent a cat over in the same barrel a couple days prior. The cat also survived.

I'm 47. I visited there with my parents when I was about 8. It was a great tourist attraction back when we visited. I do remember standing right at the railing where the falls are at and you can see how powerful that water is. It's loud and almost has a thunderous sound to it. You can feel the vibration just standing that close. We went underneath the falls with a tour guide. It was wet. Scary. Cold and loud. I would like to go back again as an adult and take it all in.
