Today, we play Victoria 3 WITH A TWIST! That twist is that we're playing Victoria 3 but I hav all technology already unlocked. This actually presents an issue when starting as a vassal to Victoria 3 Qing. That being that your populace expects a standard of living that you really don't have the ability to provide. In any case, this Victoria 3 challenge will hopefully be easier than others I've done...

If you actually had all the territory in the thumbnail as Lan Fang you’d have a cosmetic name change to Bo-Ni, which means Borneo. Also you didn’t have to spend any time to get all the tech, you can just type either “tech 5” or “research 5” (been away from the game a while) and it researches every tech at that level and below, so you get everything instantly.

fun fact about the battleship hoax event: that actually happened irl, and the bunga bunga option is related to it. if im remembering correctly, a few known troublemakers in england pretended to be ethiopian/abyssinian nobility, and were given a full ceremony on a battleship while acting totally ridiculous and playing it off as foreign customs. really funny story actually, ive never seen that event cause ive never gotten far enough in the game but its cool they did the research to add it.

I'm a silly boy so this has been one of the main ways I have played the game, nice to see someone do a video, that points out some of the oddities of all tech at game start. LPT you can use fastresearch on pause and unlock all of it on day one for yourself. Also, audio sync is a bit off for some reason at least at the start on this video (watching mobile)
