@@nofoxgiven6561 There's actually a pause button. If you look carefully in the province info where the colony progress is, there's part of it you can click to pause the progress, not abandon it. So it probably stops adding tension, and also your other colonies will grow quicker. Took me about 500 hrs of play before I saw this...

Hey Laith, you don't need to go manually building by building to change the production options, If you going to mass convert a province to what you do elsewhere in your country you can click on the state menu ( the blind justice one) and just click convert there

so just a couple of Historical sidenotes explaining *why* the Netherlands is in a state of decline at this point in history: - As you pointed out, the Netherlands lagged behind in industrialisation. Belgium was actually the second country to start industrialising, after the British started it. the Dutch only got started around the 1830s... or even a bit later. - The Dutch lost Belgium because of... the French, ironically. See, the Belgians revolted 15 years after the Napoleonic wars ended, but their revolt was after a bit of fighting almost suppressed. The French-speaking leaders of the rebellion then asked the French to help them out, the French said yes, and the Dutch just looked 2 seconds at that situation, said "Fuck that we're not fighting the French AGAIN" and left the Belgians to their own devices.

It seems to happen to me the most whenever I add Open Market as a war goal. It's not the primary and the enemy even goes to -100 war score, but the game seems to think that was the only war goal that was added. Long as I don't bother with Open Market it seems to be fine.

I've been playing as Greece, but I'm still quite new to the game, and I have SOOO much trouble trying to scale my construction. I feel like my economy can only support like 9 construction, even ten or twenty years in. To be fair though, Greece runs out of labour very quickly.
