@@DarkRavenWolf50 Gonna throw out my prediction, its another Age of Calamity level ret-con. 1. They give the idea its a sequel at first but then you realize its technically the same plot again. 2. Sheikah tech is not really `vanished.`, it had ancient tech replaced by Zonai tech as the precursor instead of Sheikah making tech from `ancient technology`. 3. Unless it does some proper connections outside of `fanservice`, i can only see it uses a schdoringer`s cat situation which puts both breath of the wild and age of calamity as both technically both canon and not by leaving things very bare bones to reference past events, so you don`t need to know the past events. 4. Technically the presence of certain npcs make it seem like its BotW linked, but it could simply be said elements could of been re-tread to red herring people into thinking they are both connected. 5. If it was fully on connected, then one could only imagine what happen to Zelda`s powers on top of the sheikah tech not being present unless they are gonna `splain that later` that she burnt up most of them after the events of BotW so she wouldnt have any in TotK.

@@MNightbirb Funny enough one of my other predictions was a Back to the future kind of gag. 1. Tears of the kingdom actually happens BEFORE breath of the wild via whatever events happen in tears gets paradox nyx`d and instead the events of Breath of the wild happen, likely time travel to remove zonai tech and Ancient technology took its place to fill the gap. 2. At the very least it does a better job explaining calamity ganon and the presence of the divine beasts and what not, plus as far as i can tell, how i am not seeing much mentioned of `4 particular champions`, unless they dont start re-referencing them until you reach the respective villages first. Which i am already aware we get the Sages to replace them and not all of them match up to the `successor champions` in BotW, that end up being in Age of calamity as playable characters also.

It’s crazy because as I walked towards the temple of resurrection, I was feeling so nostalgic, I thought the developers probably made something wholesome and nostalgic to commemorate the place where it all began. But NOPE they trolled us hard. And I actually enjoyed that a lot more because it was completely unpredictable. I think whatever the Sages did back in the ancient past with Rauru and Sonia caused a massive change in the timeline after Zelda went back. Remember, our new Shrines just appeared out of nowhere when the Upheaval happened. Instead of Sheikah technology that was the surpassing tech, Zonai tech survived through the ages thus Zonai tech became the surpassing tech with the Sheikah not needing to invest into tech as much. That is my headcannon at least.

Like it weakened all the weapons but since Gannon had already infected sheikah tech before he was just able to completely destroy all of it that hadn't been modified by Purah and Robbie. I mean by the looks of where the Zelda franchise is heading it does seem like they are trying to recreate the story line and bring it to life. It used to be a series focused around dungeons and puzzles/problem solving. And it’s now taken a whole new turn. With the amount of effort they’ve put into this it’s safe to say that their intentions are to build and expand an even bigger Zelda universe. The story line also suggests that there is more to explore story wise. When I played totk the other day for the first time my first thought was “oh yeah…. They’re definitely trying to build a long term game series for this franchise” Let’s hope it’s true

I wandered over to the GP at the beginning when I had maybe 6 hearts and a highest weapon level of about 12 or so. I have no idea how I made out to the SOR, but I nope’d out when I saw the Yiga flags. I thought it was a full hideout, and had no interest in dealing with that.

Lot of fan-fiction writers in the comments I see... Hate to burst all your bubbles, but Nintendo simply retconned the old Sheikah tech out. NO WHERE in TOTK do they confirm what happened to the old Sheikah tech, so dont bother saying "oh the sheikah dismantled it all" or "oh the gloom ate it all". We literally have no answer and Nintendo wont give us one.

I literally just dis this today, and it got me thinking: where is all the Shieka technology? All the old shrines, the old towers, the guardians, and the shrine of resurrection all of it is gone. So what happened to all of it.

Mabey during the final fight of botw after canon does all the power the tech drew just faded. The fact the green life force was the opposite to calamity and since Ganon could control every single thing and even make shekin monsters. and after every trial the person at the end would vanish being done with life to give link power back. The fact all the shrines only existed after link died and got revived
