Off-topic of the main coaster but we need ferris wheel designs like that in the USA. A coaster going through one? That is just plain awesome. With so many parks removing there ferris wheels or many just being so neglected you know the days are numbered, is it possible we can borrow a page from Asia and build ferris wheels that aren't constructed with full centers, make a coaster go through, and introduce a 2.0 generation? It seems like more people ride ferris wheels by boardwalks/the ocean/piers/etc. then in major parks these days.

@@GMoney-B really? He obviously doesn't speak English well. He worked on this ride and enjoyed it but the ride would be better with banked rails.

@@GMoney-B eh, you also would have had to know what he meant as a “credit”. To enthusiasts, every new coaster you ride is referred to as a “credit”. I got what he was saying just from that one word and “lucky enough”.

Reminds me of those coasters you start you building in RCT when you're new and have no idea what you're doing yet.

I totally forgot about this. I drove by this when I was in Thailand years ago and had no idea it was coming up so it was definitely a sight to behold, especially seeing the roller coaster go through the ferris wheel

Interesting to have high thrill and mid thrill rides together like this. Gives families with newer riders a way to step up into higher thrill levels.

Probably because they were damaged in the Storm and deemed unsafe

Actually, they don't tend to close the park permanently, but they are still looking for the right time in the future to do a major overhaul on all rides and open it again.

I had scrolled through every roller coaster in Asia with the exception of Japan, the Koreas, and half of China, and I saw this and thought it was one of the coolest coasters ever, unfortunately I did not include it because it was SBNO for so long.

What kind of launch system was it?
@GMoney-B3 жыл бұрын
Looks like a cable launch with the pulley at the start and some kind of trough catch car in the center. Maybe it was a fly wheel system at the end like Montezuma‘s revenge.
@suansanookthai3 жыл бұрын
The launch system uses an Intamin hydraulic launch technology. But it uses a double-rod hydraulic cylinder with a series of reduction pulleys instead of the Hydraulic cable drum. This system can launch the catch car along the launch track longer and faster than the rod extension length. Moreover, both coasters use the same pressure accumulated module and then separate to each hydraulic cylinder.
