Not as bad anymore. The OG trains and restraints fkd you up lol Still my go to everytime i go to six flags. As a kid the craziness is what made me love it so much.

Despite this being less than a two-hour drive for me and being a park I get a season pass for every year since 2022, I have never ridden Stormrunner. Why? Because I’m too fat, the restraints on this and Fahrenheit, both in the same park, are too restrictive for me. Hope that changes as we enter 2025, because I’m down 40 lbs in the last two months and still dropping. I’m getting on this ride this year!!

Beautiful coaster

Haven't ridden this one since before they painted it blue, but the layout is unmistakable.

I bet Six Flags Great Adventure will build a 2nd-generation Sitting Coaster called Steel Viper made by B&M in Rolling Thunder's spot for April 2027. The seats were higher than usual meaning riders legs are left dangling meaning riders must be cautious not to loose their shoes. Each seat has vest restraints. The tracks were painted light green while the supports were red. The trains were painted green and yellow while the vest restraints were orange and seats were black. The ride has 8 inversions include heartline roll, two vertical loops, dive loop, zero G-roll, cobra roll and corkscrew. The station will be an abandoned Spanish church. Guests passed underneath the entrance sign and entered a western-theme desert. This area featured many props, such as a well, cacti, wagons and more.

This ride is a legend. I love it and I would love to see a brand new vekoma upgrade, with vekoma track, vekoma restraints and some brand new vekoma trains like on there new boomerangs!

It’s not that painful as people say. And it’s a great ride just some vekoma upgrades. It’s even in my top 10

The near miss looks crazy

The experience of a wooden roller coaster can't be replicated with a steel equivalent. Wooden roller coasters feel like they are alive, as they are noisy and the structure flexes.

Ugh. One of the most painful coasters ever, even after it was retracked. When there is literally a sign saying "please remove earrings," you know you're in for a rough ride.
