What Indian Taxpayers Want From Modi 3.0’s First Budget | Firstpost Tech & Trade
India is eagerly anticipating its 2024 Budget, with over 93.7 million taxpayers hoping for tax cuts or incentives. The full-year Union Budget 2024-25 will be presented on July 23rd by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This will be the first budget of the Modi-led government in their third term and the seventh Budget presented by FM Sitharaman. The new budget is expected to address various income tax expectations, including rationalising the twin tax regimes, standard deduction hikes, and changes in the basic income tax exemption limit. Additionally, there is a call for changes to capital gains tax and extending housing-related tax breaks. The middle class, in particular, looks forward to relief measures that could boost disposable income.

Taxpayers are getting nothing from Government, but their paid money is distributed as free bie. This is very sad, a tax payaer earn money by doing hard work and the 1.5GB data usres, are getting benifites like health insurance, free 5kg grain, free electricity, etc. So Government need to rethink on it.

I wanted to write same here. All reservations, freebies must be stopped immediately. Tax payers money is used to pay to Law and Police department government officials and they infirm harass sincere Tax Payers. This must stop fully.

1.5% paying income taxes for 100% of the population. Good luck expecting tax slabs to decrease.

No tax return for like salaried class pensioners provided their income is through any Banks .. Tax 20%.as TDS if it exceeds. 20. Lacs per annum on balance. No reductions . Except medical . Abolish all other reductions Use the staff for other usefull purpose . Govt will get money by TDS .
