What a great idea. I love how we all evolve towards something that works uniquely for us. There has to be some balance of "to do" and "joy". Just like you said. And what brings most of us into the junk journaling mindset is creativity with function and repurposing. So, what I did was go through all my storage bins and gathered up all the half started and discarded journals of a lifetime. Some of them had one entry...January 1st! Diet & Exercise plan!...and then a book of blank crisp white pages. Dream journal...one dream...and then blank pages. So, I just gathered them up and broke them apart to get the pages. And started doing loose leaf "journaling" which really is the calendar, the to dos, the shopping lists, the chores, the project drawing & so on. And then when they become thick, I just bind them up with pieces of washi tape. It works for me...because I realized that the value for me is not going back and rereading my journals, but the actual in the moment use of it. Good stuff...thanks for your thoughtful videos

This is a wonderful idea and I definitely want to try it - thank you so much for inspiring me! I will begin looking for the perfect book that brings me joy so that I will continue to use it throughout the year. Knowing myself, I must love the book and the paper before I'll commit myself to using it. I found a wonderful saying this week, and when I read it, I immediately thought of you and the brave adventure you are beginning Sept 1 ... it is "Make your vision so clear that your fears become irrelevant." Being a woman who began her business by stepping out on faith and believing in myself, I completely understand and empathize with your quest. You will be successful, no doubt. My business philosophy was "Tenacity of Purpose!" It served me well, and I had a successful woman-owned business for 25 years. With it I never had issues paying my bills, putting my children through college, paying for weddings, and thoroughly enjoying my life. And, with the aid of a fabulous and trusted financial advisor, I was able to save money so that I could live a comfortable, worry-free retired life. YOU are a SUPERPOWER ... never give up, don't listen to negative people, and believe in yourself!! Should you ever want to chat with me about my business experiences, I am only a phone call / text / or email away. I have your back!!!!

How beautiful this pages are! And the entire book😍 Don't stop with this, please. I have planned for years in all kind of planners, but i couldn't love enough the modern style. Bullet journaling...only pen and doodles and trackers, no. Empty, too cold. Is amazing to see at others, but i am too vintage for all this. So 3 years ago i started to use a bullet journal with beige paper, and going crazy with vintage decorations. I was never bored, i use my stuff, and the freedom feels great - i do whatever i want, a catch all book, with everything in one place. So i hope that more of your viewers will try it, a bullet journal can be how we want, even vintage and grungy. Often people are saying that they don't have a reason for journaling, nothing happens in their life, but this can give more than a reason - structure, quiet the mind and we can play. Thank you, have a beautiful Sunday, going to see Joie now 💞🤗💞

Very nice. Don’t know how bullet journaling got so complex. I love the beautiful spreads that people create, but the creator of the bullet journal system is very minimalistic. My bullet journal is similar to his style. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t create something similar to what you see on you tube. The main thing is you are using your bullet journal for productivity and mindfulness and that you are happy with your results. Minimal is okay. That may be your style. Your style evolves. Try different things. You can adapt. 🙂

I missed your questions about bullet journaling but I have kept a journal since Ryder introduced the concept. I don't spend a lot of time decorating it, it is a very functional tool for me and I would be lost without it. I have been using the same Llama journal for the last three journals. Works very well for me. I keep my decorating of pages for my art journals with the exception of the monthly calendar page in my BJ. That keeps a touch of art in my journal. I like seeing what other people do with their journals so please keep sharing.
