I bought an hdmi gana 3 port splitter/switcher on amazon, and im not sure if it is used for what i want it to do. I want to use it for a triple monitor setup, so i initially thought i can connect it to my pc and then connect the 3 hdmi cables to that, but now im having second thoughts. Can you verify that it will or will not work? Plz !

With a splitter it will only show the same picture on the monitors, you would need a video card with 3 outputs or use something like USB to HDMI

OK, Tech stuff really confusing to me personally as this stuff looks like it would take me the rest of my life ??. So here goes I have DirecTV with a 1 by 4 way HDMI splitter I want to hook up my PS3 Xbox 1s and my Nintendo all into this splitter. The input comes from.... the back of my 60 in Samsung TV or from my DirecTV box ...then the outputs ALL to ......

Sound like you need an 5 port HDMI switch, you would connect your DirecTV, PS3, Xbox 1s and Nintendo into the input side of the switch and them output it to your 60" Samsung TV, you wold then select the source you wanted to show on your TV- something like this www.hdtvsupply.com/5-1-hdmi-switch.html

Could I use a splitter to send the auto to one device and the video to another? AKA a projector and a Atmos receiver, I ran out of HDMI ports on my Vid card and don't want to use optical.

Hello I just ordered and received a hdmi splitter and plugged amazon firestick into the input and outputed to 1 50inch lcd and 2 73inch dlp but I'm only recieving a picture on the 50 inch am I doing something wrong?

Here are a few things to try lowering the resolution on the source device Switch HDMI inputs on your TV Also how long are the lengths of the HDMI cables

This unit takes one source and splits the same picture out to 4 TVs, if you looking to take 4 sources and show on one TV you would need a multiviewer such as www.hdtvsupply.com/4x1-quad-multiviewer.html

If you can plug in directly than yes you wouldn't need a splitter.

I am trying to connect 6 external monitors to my laptop. I am using DVI-D dual-link to HDMI cable to connect the monitors to the HDMI splitter and HDMI to HDMI to connect the splitter to the laptop. There is just one problem, when I am extending the screens the external monitors seem to duplicate themselves rather than extend. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

That is what the splitter will do, you would need to use an output for each display if you want to see different content on each monitor. There is also products like this www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/digital/ but I have never used them

You need HDMI "switcher" not HDMI "splitter". You can get a switcher for $3 or $4 dollar on ebay.
