I bought a Pre Charged Bryant Heat Pump. So I think the 3-way valves were front-seated to seal off the lines on the Compressor side. I need to install the orifice on the compressor end and am trying to figure out out to suck the refrigerant back into the Compressor. It came with a #67 orifice and the installer left it out so we only have an Air Conditioner, no Heat Pump. They don't like DIY Homeowners but we hired an HVAC Company and they did it wrong. We found the Orifice taped to the electrical cover. Go figure. The first time we flipped on the Heating mode, the Compressor sounded awful and the heat out of the ducts was only 78 degrees. Our previous Heat Pump would put out in excess of 100 degrees. So I believe the missing Orifice is the cause. Anyway, nice video.

You are a freaking genius!! It just hit me while watching your video, oil was leaking out of a back seated king valve. The valve didn't seat all the way, it just hit me!

That's an interesting valve. Something that would truly frustrate me if I thought I would just be testing. But then again, I am non-refrigerant certified or qualified. Great video as usual by explaining thoroughly for even lay people to understand. Keep up the good work. Oh yea.... FIRST ...

So is a king valve different from a regular service valve? I was under the impression front seating the valve will isolate the compressor or w.e, from the system

Thanks Bro'! Appreciate taking your time to share it with us!

No, when it's fully front seated you read the pressure on the line set not the compressor

Should always back off packing gland nut before moving spindle and re- tighten after finished, helps stop leaks in future.

Broooo.... i think you should loosen the packing 1st. I hate those valves. (They always leak)

Where can I buy this kind of valve from? Thanks

but there is another sort of king valve when you front seated, the connection to compressor is shut while the pipe connection are connected.

Why can’t we just install a schrader and back seat the valve all the time? Thx

Ummmm, as you begin the video by misnaming a compressor suction service valve as a "King Valve"... I find myself wanting to mention... A king valve describes a service valves position in the refrigeration circuit (At the exit of a liquid receiver).... Before you decide to teach others (and do so incorrectly) , please learn your trade.

Remember that plastic cap will not hold refrigerant tight.

Nice report bud. I wonder if you're organized through UA? If so, didn't they teach you not to put your lips on it and blow in apprenticeship? l😂😂. I had to say it. Not my fault. But deece. Presentation kiddo.
