The Ring Magazine belt gives you the lineal status. The Ring belt is only given out when the top 2 fighters in the division fight each other.

No, The Ring Magazine Belt is given when the top 2 in the division fight. I could be wrong, but if the current lineal champion retires, much like The Ring Magazine Belt, the title of Lineal will go to whoever wins in a top 2 fight. Then it will just continue from there. If a champion retires the title will not be passed down to the next best. The 2 next best would have to fight for that Lineal title.

@@stzzysebThe lineal championship isn't a belt at all, while the Ring is. Also, the lineal champion doesn't need the belts of any sanctioning body. If that were necessary, then Tyson Fury wouldn't have been the lineal champion after his belts were stripped for inactivity. But, if the lineal champion retires, how is the new lineal champion determined? There's two ways. You have the two best contenders fight each other, or you crown the undisputed champion as the new lineal champion. Still, it causes a problem because The Ring can also strip a boxer of their "Ring Magazine" belt (not a true lineal championship belt) due to inactivity. But, if the boxer returns, and the Ring belt was given away to another boxer, would you REALLY say that his lineal championship status is gone? No. You can only become a lineal champion by beating the man who holds the STATUS of lineal champion. Unless, he retires and never comes back, only then is the chain broken and a new boxer has to show they're the best.

Tyson was not lineal because he retired meaning it goes back to the fighter who was lineal before him which was klitschko and klitschko was defeated by Joshua then Joshua was defeated by Usyk so Usyk was lineal going into the undisputed fight

Not exactly. Lineal just means you beat the number 1 guy. In some cases the number 1 guy could be the undisputed champion (Like Canelo). Since there are 4 belts that means there can be 4 champions. Obviously one of them is better then the other based off of rank. If you just beat that guy, you will get his belt but also be Lineal. Then you can proceed to unify all four to then become Undisputed.

A super champion is the highest rank you can get in a sanction. Example, There is a super champion in the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO. You have to be super champion in all four to become undisputed. The only reason why it's called super champion is because there are lower tiers like "regular" champion and "gold" champion.
