I have two of Carol's patterns, the rabbit and the bear family. If you read the instructions, you are not supposed to but poly-fil in the ears. They are to remain floppy. I have made my rabbit that way and it is much cuter.

This is a lovely idea. It takes quite a bit of fabric so it would take a few pieces of a child's clothing. Lovely to have as a memory.

Sew glad I found this, Laura! Especially because I happened to see there was a MOOSE pattern and my grandson's nursery theme is MOOSE! I want to make one of these for him out of an assortment of his first year of clothes. Do you think that is doable? I don't sew all that much; more of a quilter, but I can sew some things (and many times, thanks to YOU!) so I want to make sure using different pieces of clothing would be doable. I love the idea of only two patterns! WHEW! Thanks for your help!

Hello! I really want to try making this rabbit, but I'm not sure where I would go about getting knitted cloth to construct it with. I don't have any clothes that have the same look to it myself. Do you think I should try looking at thrift stores for the material? Or might I be able to find this kind of knitted material at somewhere like JoAnn's? Love your videos, by the way!

The fabric does make a difference. Some fabric makes it easier and some a little more difficult. If you were to try it again in a different fabric you will see the difference:) It is a fun project!
