It’s true! There is a fine line between mental illness and mysticism; this happened to me! I thought I was schizophrenic for years, but my journey led me to self-realization about my true path. The ‘experiences’ of connecting with Source, other beings and other realms is what makes someone ‘different’ and mystical in nature.

@@Themoonscape This is a deep subject, but living in your imagination like I do is not only what people call clairvoyance but it's also a realm belonging to dark entities that are dangerous if you are not careful. I advise that you do your homework by reading some of Rudolph Steiner's work on the 8th sphere. You must navigate these realms with the knowledge of what it means to have a vivid imagination. This is why there is fine line between schizophrenia and having supernatural gifts. I hope this helps.

Wonderful. Thank you for sharing these thoughts and for the affirmations and reaffirmations that I feel from them. In your comments you have a sidebar mention of mental illnesses and say something to the effect of these topics needing a whole book to explore. You also talk about mainstream society. I have thought of mainstream society as if it was a single entity that I sometimes have felt in tune with and sometimes almost completely rejected by. Perhaps this is the feeling of being a wolf, in a pack and then a lone Wolf. Your website, work, and the spontaneous and heartfelt enthusiasm which it generates I think demonstrates that you may be a lone wolf but one is never truly alone, indeed surely non-duality shows that one is part of a greater one that is there is a thin line between alone and all one and it is the misapprehension of this that is loneliness. It is my experience that whatever I have from time to time feared and believed, even in the certain belief that I was somehow born to be broken and misunderstood and lonely and unloved and unlovable and in fighting against this slipped inexorably into hell such that I saw everything I had fought so hard to protect and conserve and nurture slipping away and judging myself a failure and doomed to hell that I was mistaken. Hope moved into my blind spot and I lost sight of all hope. Hope did not lose sight of me and showed me my blind spot. I think this is the thing that is ineffable, it is what creates a sort of tragicomic inevitability in writing about something that acts with anything but compassion other than ourselves. Doubt eats away at everything until it eats the one thing it was meant to consume which is doubt itself. Mental illness is but a step to wellness just as to sin is to err on the path to becoming whole. For me I call it stubbornness or perhaps it’s humility. There’ve been times when others have thought me suicidal and sitting with people who are giving voice to suicidal impulses or who have attempted suicide I can understand why people might have thought that and in having felt despair in myself and in others I can empathise with why people would be afraid and seek help for me when in fact I can say without a shadow of doubt I have never once attempted or given weight to such a notion as I don’t think the universe needs my help to end me should that be the right thing to do and I do not think the universe nor for that matter my body keeps me here to torment me either, and so such anguish and illness is all part of a misapprehension and failure to appreciate that which is in our blind spot being mirrored in a subtly translated way into that which we see as somehow other than us, our society, our community, our commonality, our communion, our Union, our unity. Perhaps it takes a book. Perhaps it takes a moment. Look after your illness: as I is to We, so am I and we to one. Our common passion is our compassion, our oneness. It is our humanity. It is our being. It transcends our species in just the same way that our souls transcend our mortal lives. Einstein had some wonderful things to say in this regard that perhaps you already have read and which put it far more succinctly and I realise that in part the side bar was there because there are people like me who have been in a bit of a quandary about what to make of mental health. All I would say is it’s ok: relax or release whatever personal worries you may have and remember the difference between drowning and floating is but to believe you are ok and to breathe and have faith. Life goes on; it’s most charitable and creative and surprises even the complete fool who thinks he knows everything and before realising the sound of serene silence that is the ineffable paradox of the beautiful joyful universal eternal truth, some holographic shard of awe that is like gazing at the Sun. It is truly awful and it is truly full of awe and it is but a mirror. Take time. There is always enough time for that which truly matters. In the beginning and the end I turn towards kindness. My heart pumps blood that contains the iron that the stars made. I breathe the breath that all living creatures since the dawn of time have affected and that I affect now. I do not believe in evil other than it is live back to front, like a dog barking at its own reflection. I believe that for a time we may believe in mental illnesses and collaborate in seeking mental wellnesses. Just as all religions try to explain and put into words that which is blasphemous to put into words and is ineffable, and all artists and craftspeople try to express in so many ways that which it is idolatry to claim is that which is being perceived and is working with and through the artist to be made into form, life can be seen as a curse or a tragedy or as a great suffering yet I believe it is a greater and divine blessing and comedy and act of unconditional love that is to be human and to experience life itself and to anyone lonely in darkness, cursing themselves perhaps or accepting some diagnosis that they believe validates their invalidity I say I am with you and by the light of my candle I can see the extraordinary presence that casts a huge smiling shadow behind you. Even in a total eclipse the sun’s light is still there as a gossamer lace of its Corona and it is in the darkest of times that we see truly our unity and accept with humility that our ego is not all of who one is and I rather thank it for its service rather like a hermit crab might thank the seashells it inhabits. No need to stay in them any longer than is appropriate. And no need to curse them as our enemies. Thank you for your errors and your sins and your despair and your darkness. You have shown the truth and the light and life itself in a way that places them beyond all doubt and I am in awe of you for doing that and realise that you are theirs too. As all things bear the negative principle of yin and the positive principle of Yang, so there is a third principle of Qi, immaterial vitality that makes them harmonious. Tao produces Unity. Unity produces duality. Duality produces Trinity. Trinity produces all things. Masculine. Feminine. Divine transcendental Union. Life and death itself. Thank you from the depths of my heart and soul. This is Confusionism! It gives great information all over the place and covers much ground both in a historical and Spiritual sense, yet within the conversions and pathways indicated is much negativity and accumulative modes which blur the boundaries of what it is to be a Mystic.

I was always under the impression that Confusionism was much more about the 'Te', about the orderliness of life and government, which is how Taoism arose as the more mystical 'Tao' or feminine counter balancing force.
