During a panic attack first you must start telling yourself that it's a panic attack it'll go away, then focus on something around you preferably something you can touch and smell. I usually take rose leaves from my rose plants, crush them and smell them it calms me down faster.

My first ever panic attack I was so confused I thought I was going to faint and die. ( I know it sounds dramatic but if you had anxiety you would know) my heart was beating so fast and I wasn’t crying I was just in confusion and fear I physically couldn’t cry. It was so random I’ve never had one before I’m now scared a lot that I’m gonna get another one at any moment. Please don’t ever say someone is being dramatic when they tell you about their anxiety attack becuase if you had anxiety you would know that it really does feel like that. Thanks

I just had my first one last night, or at least my first really bad one. I have an immune disorder and got covid last week, so that’s been on my mind scaring me. At 1 o’clock in the morning I couldn’t sleep, my palms were sweaty, started getting a fever, heart pounding out of my chest, felt like I couldn’t breathe normally, so I ended up driving myself to the ER. I’ve had two more today over the same thing even though I know I’m fine. I’ll never question the effects of something like this again, I’ve been through quite a lot, but being in the middle of a panic attack is hell on earth.

"Now I'm scared everyday what if it's going to happen again?" I find that line relateable- when a very bad lightning storm happened I was very scared- I'm still unsure why. A big anxiety I have it about loud noises, when I hear loud noises for example a plane flying over my house i will snap at others and try to make sure everything quiet so i can make sure the loud noise is just the plane and not a earthquake or somthing else.

Hey everyone, I think I might have had panic attack/anxiety attacks but I have some good news that I don’t want to keep to myself. So the great news is that we don’t have to face this challenge alone. What makes this thing the scariest thing is that it’s a situation that we feel like we have no control over BUT there is hope, hope in a Higher Being. Someone who has the control of the physical (what we can control) and the Spiritual (what we cannot control) and that someone is JESUS. I know some people don’t want to hear about Him because it’s “religious” and what not BUT I know what I’m talking about when I say He is the ONLY one who can help us with this situation. He is the Prince of Peace which means that He will give us peace that surpasses ALL understanding. For He promises that He knows the plans that He has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us HOPE and a FUTURE. Give Him a chance please, cry out to Him, recieve Him in your heart and I promise you that He will never ever leave you nor forsake. And I would encourage you to at least listen to this song, the testimonies in that comment section are powerful it’s called “Too Good to Not Believe” kzbin.info/www/bejne/ony5iZKOmcaDZpY and if you were inspired by that please listen to this kzbin.info12ilk8RDr9U?feature=share God Bless ✌🏽🤍

I had my first panic attack yesterday and man it was a wake up call that I need to start taking better care of my mental self. My entire body went numb like I was paralyzed. My hands were contorted and I couldn’t control them. It took me hours to get over that feeling of impending doom. It’s very important to try to stay positive. I kept telling myself it was temporary and it would suck for a while, but it would end eventually.

This sounds kind of similar to my experience I knew nothing about panic attacks up until yesterday and now I can't stop looking into it and studying it now I know everything. The worst part was when my hands curled up and locked up I couldn't move at all and a very horrible pain in my top stomach area I thought it was the end and I was dying that's how bad it was. I also need to start taking better care of myself mentally and physically from now on . No more alcohol lol.

It's very important to talk about this because a lot of times panic attacks can be traumatic in itself which makes it much more difficult to deal with them. I had a real bad panic attack once that lasted for about three hours straight. I kept walking in circles thinking that I was both choking and having a heart attack at the same time. I was totally alone in a crowded city. Since then I am always afraid of getting panic attacks when I am at public spaces, which causes an acual attack in a lot of cases.

The first panic attack I got almost 3 years ago. I was sleeping at night and suddenly I got up with heavy heart racing. I looked at my right and I could see full moon from my window. But that time the moon seemed too scary for me. I started breathing heavily. I feel like I was about to die. I had a bad stomach and somehow managed myself to the washroom. Then I go to call my mom. She stayed beside me for the whole night. But I couldn't sleep. Whenever I tried to close my eyes it feels like my life is end so I couldn't sleep at all. Next morning I had a bad headache. Then it started with mild attacks. One day, I got another big attack and called my mom from sleep again. I was crying and she slapped me. But she actually stayed that night by my side too. From that day whenever I have an anxiety attack I just face it myself by watching KZbin videos and knowing I'm not alone. There are a lot of people like me. But now most of the night I passed sleepless. I'm having insomnia problem too. And it sucks. I've no one to share it with. My parents thinks it's normal and I just get afraid easily with everything. That's why I don't take any meditation too. But I think I need it badly. Well it's midnight and I'm having the attack right now. I feel worst. I need someone beside me.

I now need to convince my 54 year old dad that panic attacks can happen to anyone. Especially in these times.

@@ibrake4rapperssame thing I felt. I just had one in October for the first time in my life though I'm still convinced my heart is going bad until I can see my cardiologist after Christmas. I hope I just had a panic attack and nothing else I can deal with that but the not knowing right now is very stressful right now. The ER doctor ran the test and said they didn't think I had a heart attack but diagnosed me with a panic attack and gave me some anxiety meds and a aspirin. I had several times now I get to feeling that way again with chest pain and shoulder pain.

I have anxiety and during school, since I am deeply attached to my parents I was taking deep breaths to calm myself. My class made loud noises and took my focus off breathing, since I lost focus on keeping calm I panicked and a panic attack occurred, I frantically ran down the stairs and I walked very robotically to the office, I was praised for knowing what to do and keeping calm. That praise helped me calm down. So thank you to the teachers that helped me recover

Lauryn, Take action as this can be cured. It is all in the mind. God has given us life to enjoy. Meditation heals anxiety as it reprogrammes the mind. Watch alternate nostril breathing meditation videos on Google and do it for 5 to 10 minutes if possible twice a day. You can sit on a chair and do it. Second technique is to close eyes, sit in one place with back erect without moving for 5 to 10 minutes-Be still and observe your breath. Negative thoughts will reduce. Shyaaam Sir, Mentor. Make meditation a daily habit.

I haven’t had one since then but I’m kinda scared of getting in front of people. Overall experience was shit i hope i never go through that again. i just had a rly bad panic attack where i couldn’t breathe and was literally paralysed (my usual ones aren’t as bad as this one). i went to the ER since i was worried it might’ve been some sort of a stroke or a seizure. i have social anxiety and im more worried about upsetting the doctors and nurses - by overreacting and wasting their time thinking it’s a stroke - rather than a panic attack. i came back from the hospital an hour ago and im still trying my best to not think about whether i’ve disturbed the medical staff (i know they obvs won’t even rmbr me since there’s hundreds and thousands of patients everyday + i’ve only been there once but i cant help it). glad i watched this vid, it’s rly comforting to know that i was the only one who went to the ER bcs of a panic attack.

I haven’t had a panic attack in 5 years and I have had two in the past three days, I have just had one a few minutes prior to writing this and it was probably one of the worst I have ever had. After the horrendous struggle to breath I managed to calm myself down and immediately got this extremely Intense tingling reaction all over my face, i have never experienced this before. My whole face was tingling as If I had put on a tingling face mask on 100 times, my eyes were flickering to the point where I was struggling to even see and my mouth would not stay shut, I was terrified. To anyone reading this and struggling please just remember that although you do not have someone to talk to about what you are going through just know that not that far away there is someone going through the same thing. Times are extremely difficult right now and I know that I myself am struggling more than ever, if you want to talk to someone then just reply to this comment and we will all find that we are not all alone at the moment.

5 years ago, I was with my family in a mall. I was having a great time until I started crying. Crying because there were so much loud noises. My mom tried to help, but I just kept crying saying "I want to go to the bathroom". I didn't know what was happening. About 1 year later, I wanted to know what happened that day. I googled if I had a phobia, I searched through a bunch web pages. I found nothing. Then I forgot about it. Today, I was just relaxing until I started to search if I had an anxiety or panic attack. I came across this video and this explained what happened on that day. I am now shocked and confused, but I'm doing better now. I just overthink a lot about the future. I try not to overthink, but it's fine because it doesn't bother me anymore. I'm just glad that I'm happy.

My own panic attack episodes started off drugs, and I guess it’s the main cause of my anxiety knowing that I’m endangering myself. It’s ironic how I can’t live without them but they give me the worst anxiety attacks when I’m high enough. It’s now a cycle of depression and anxiety for me. I have been battling it for years and now I know I’m not alone.

During my first panic attack, I thought I was sick from food poisoning or something so after shaking, crying, and rolling in pain for what seemed like 30 mins, I stumbled down the stairs to see if my sister had the same symptoms because I thought it was the ham we ate. When I got to her room she thought my silhouette was a demon and she ran out of her room screaming scaring the shit out of me and waking up my parents. Her reaction scared the panic attack out of me until I got back to my room in which I proceeded to have the attack until I fell asleep from exhaustion. An unforgettable experience I assure you.

I thought I knew what a panic attack was but in reality I was just breathing too quickly and got a bit worried. I thought that’s what mine were like but absolutely not. I had my first panic attack yesterday and it was the scariest thing I have ever been through. I was at soccer practice and I wasn’t feeling up to it but I didn’t want to disappoint my coach by leaving. I also was under a lot of anxiety over going home because my mom found out I am not straight. And I was just very scared. It started when the coach stopped and was kind of snapping at me a bit (any other time I would have been fine bc he just wants me to succeed) and I turned around and I started to cry a bit and I heard one of my teammates yell at me, while another said “it’s okay it’s okay.” To try to comfort me and then suddenly I just started to scream this awful scream I’d never heard come out of my mouth before and then started sobbing. That was the easiest part of it and my teammates kind of ran over to me and one of my close friends took my hand and I heard our team captain (another one of my friends and has lifeguard training and stuff) say “give her space it’s a panic attack” and at that point I was so scared because my throat was closing and opening each time I tried to breathe. And I couldn’t control it and I thought I was going to suffocate and die. I couldn’t breathe. At that point I was collapsed and hunched over my knees just gripping onto the grass. My team captain told everyone else to go to the bleachers and she took my hands and asked me “what do you see” and I couldn’t breathe and my throat was closing so fast I could only make slight sounds to say grass. And then she asked me what color the grass was. And she had to finish each word I wanted to say because I couldn’t say it. She then made me match her deep breaths and after a long time it felt like I was finally able to breathe on my own. My throat was still contracting a bit but enough so could just breathe over it. They got a teacher that was our coach before our current one to sit and talk with me to make sure I stayed okay. If I didn’t have my team captain there I wouldn’t have been able to get out of it. When your in that state you don’t care about what started it and you don’t think about anything except for trying to get out of it. And now I’m just scared it may happen again if my team captain isn’t there.

ah yes, my first one started when i got a trauma flashback from a movie at around 1am- The movie had triggered it. I felt nauseous and panicked because i have an intense fear of nausea/vomiting etc that makes me extremely panicked whenever i get the feeling. Anyway, i got up and immediately felt light headed, dizzy and sick. My first reaction was to go to my mom and ask for help. By that point i was in tears and having a breakdown, immensely shaking and being unable to stop and speak. I tried distracting myself by watching something but then constantly reminded myself of why i was even in this position to begin with. After around an hour i managed to fall asleep but was still in fear that I would vomit because that's how terrified i was. I'm here to know whether this was an anxiety attack or a panic attack, or neither. But it was absolutely terrifying.

The first time i had a panic attack i was vomiting and trembling i went to ER and it was late at night and the doctor was so ok with it he checked everything and told me it’s ok to be scared and that my heart is so healthy and ok i felt ok after and the doctor sent me to a psychiatrist that told me i have anxiety and adhd and he even told me to call him anytime so he can help me get through it .. for 1 whole year i was ok but today i was not .. but i got through it all alone i just remember to control my breathing and remind myself that everything is alright i just have to BREATH ...Panic attack they create this fear inside of me... the fear of dying is so bad i wish no one else would feel it .. 💜

Im still in the middle of it all. Living with those attacks. 9/10 times its comes out of the blue. And that is the most 'scary' part.. But keep remembering that your body cannot be in a panic attack for so long. Its impossible. It gets to a peak in about 10-15 minutes until you will feel slowly better and getting the control back over the situation. Even knowning that its still very hard to think about it during a panic attack. 😓

i had my first panic attack yesterday. it was so weird, i had been stressed the whole week abt an upcoming exam but my day was going fine until it happened. i felt very overwhelmed and on the verge of tears. my heart felt like it was being crushed i felt like i was dying in fact those are the exact words i told my friend before i had the panic attack. and then all of a sudden i start hyperventilating and crying and i realise that i cant breathe so i tell her twice and she hugs me and hides my face (we were in a very busy classroom during breaktime). all my friends were there but they let her handle it. it didnt help the hyperventilating but it felt comforting to be hugged, and then we went for a walk outdoors. 24 hours has passed but i still sometimes feel like my chest is being crushed or i run out of breath, im scared itll happen again. it was such a weird sensation, but i think what i had was minor compared to others, it only lasted a few mins

I have really bad anxiety, at school I’m known as the “quiet/shy kid.” Once school started my anxiety got worse and I broke down 2-3 times because I was scared about the virus. Then today I was having a bad day and was crying on and off all day. But then something else happened and it just triggered my emotions and I just had an anxiety/panic attack. I called my mom and she calmed me down and told me to focus on breathe, drink water, and lay down. After I hung up I cried a little longer, it was awful I was shaking and couldn’t breathe at all....I haven’t had a anxiety/panic attack in so long so this was scary as hell. My siblings were upstairs and I wanted to call them for help but they were to focused on their video game. After the anxiety/panic attack I looked in the mirror and my face was so red, even my eyes.

The first panic attack I had was when I was about to take a big exam. It was about 4 am and I was sitting in my bed just revising some stuff when suddenly it felt like a pair of invisible hands were choking me. I genuinely thought those were about to be my last moments alive. My eyes were teary, I felt like puking, my hands were sweaty and trembling, and my chest felt soo tight. I vomited soon after and felt a little better after drinking some water. I called My Christian aunt and she said some prayers over the phone to calm me down. After the exam I just rested for a few days without studying or working to reboot myself

*Question*- what is depression, anxiety, panic attacks ? *Answer*- when we thinking so much about 1 topic continuously and specially so much negativity about 1 topic our brain it started to worry and our serta(it's like a gland which helps us to fight with fear) started to decrease and because of it we cannot stop the Negative inside our mind because of it our brain it started to take carbon dioxide instead of oxygen and send it to whole body to heart so that's why it's very common to not breath in depression, panic attacks because our body it started to be confused and sending carbon dioxide to heart and also it sends false commands to our brain that our hand is paining, leg pain or many different pain even we didn't do any hard work. in some peoples serta stop producing that's why we started to fear to do anything our confidence it started to be low. And we afraid to go outside from home. some people worried what if they driving car alone and suddenly they got panic attacks what if no one helped them or they died in car because of suffocation and some people they afraid from hight, water, fire etc no worries if you are facing this problem then talk to me for free no fee nothing 👉🏻 you can WhatsApp me: +91-8279201101 👉🏻Or join my group:- chat.whatsapp.com/JNwFi70BMz70pCcmd8N1nh Q.WHY WE THINK SO MUCH NEGATIVE NOW A DAY? The other day I had a panick attack. I'm still unsure why because I was walking outside the cabin and it just happened. My heart was pounding in my chest, I could barely see any colors, everything looked like it was dramatic, I could feel something very bad was going to happen. It lasted for a good ten minutes but the strongness and the powerfulness of this event was so rough that I wouldn't wish it to my worst enemy. After the panic attack, it took me about a month to finally feel reconnected with the world and my body. I felt like I was living in third person, seeing the world from above. Weird times man!

@@LiSafo79 It took me about 2 months and I was finaly back in my body. That feeling is called "Depersonalization-derealization disorder". I made extensive research and I found out it was a way for the brain to protect itself. It will heal itself, you have to relax. Do something you know makes you feel good. For me, it was hot teas and watching stand up comedy.

Actually, there is something you can do... or at least this is something which helps me. I don't try to fight back, I'll try to embrace it. Panic attacks are still hard, but I've been able to live with 'em for a long time. Still, now I'm seeking for help, because I'm having long lasting panic attacks daily, but I think that fighting back just makes things worse. I even try to enhance the fear, I just can't do it, and usually it works another way around.
