And since you have experience in both, which do you recommend?
@titohustles2 жыл бұрын
@@vhsagustd the difference is that a paraprofessional is like a teachers aid almost So if u were a sub teacher then u would have to teach the class so it’s more of a responsibility but they pay u more for it A sub paraprofessional is a good way to get started and then u work your way into being a sub teacher I would rather be a sub teacher because the pay is more “Money is the motive” lol 🤷♂️ Anymore questions feel free to ask

Thanks, this was helpful. I didn’t know there were 5 different types. I work in maintenance at a school district, but I am certified to become a paraprofessional. I was hesitant on switching jobs because all the paras complain about low pay & excessively stressful work! Now that I know there’s 5 options, I’d love the 1 to 1 ratio, because being able to focus on & give one child my undivided attention & care would be absolutely amazing for both the student, teacher & myself! I know it will be a drastic pay cut, but I feel it’d be more rewarding for my heart! ❤😊

Hey I’m happy to hear that my video has helped u out 👏 And yes I agree with on the 1 to 1 aspect it’s much easier and less stressful but the pay for paras isn’t really good by me hopefully they can bump us up because we are just as important as the teacher is

In the pass I've work as a counselor for at risk youth 16 to 21. Small children is so different lol to me. I'm wanna be great at my job but Idk where 2 start. I havent had any training honestly but the first day his old paraprofessional showed me that he likes pressure so she sometimes would bring him out the class to lay under big bean bags. Or while in class when they sit on the rug shoulder/ arms massages while storytime for him to stay still n quite. He runs everytime he has to step out for the bathroom .Today he was good til 3 classes came together he begin losing focus N acting up, repeating things over n over. He seems to get distracted a lot. Incredibly smart n fast . I need training. Work 730 to 330 this my first time n this position. The only training I was given was when in doubt massage him n apply pressure. Hello Tito, I hope you are doing well with your family. Question; Since I do have enough credits hours t and be able to apply for a substitute teacher or a paraprofessional , do you recommend me to take " The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE)? ". because I have the feeling that I want to get into the education field right away , but also I do have the feeling that I need to take the test, to proof myself that I know the subjects very well and not screw up to the kids with ( math, writing and reading ). what is your advice? should I take the test " assestment test. Thank you

U should ask the school you want to work for On what qualifications you need to work for the school....every school is different but double check with the district first before doing anything maybe u can work right now as is....u don’t need a degree or credit to work for a school u can use your high school diploma but double check with them first Hope this helps you

Hi Tito! Can you share some information with me that how to renew TA certification? Because it has to be renewed after three years. Should I renew it only by myself or I should ask my school to help? Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi how are u? U should renew it yourself I think it’s easier that way Instead of getting the job involved I feel it may take longer to renew if u ask your job

@@titohustles Thanks for your prompt reply! Then how can I renew it on my own? could you please guide me through the steps? I'm in NY, I believe it's the same steps as NJ. Thanks again!

How did you go about becoming a Para in Jersey. I know the process is less tedious than NYC. I looked up the requirements and I have an associates degree so I do qualify. I just don't know how to start the process of looking for a job.
@titohustles3 жыл бұрын
Great question I basically just checked online for requirements Then I saw that some schools require para pro certification so then I took it for it could look better on my resume but not all paras have this and need this to get hired Then I started looking for jobs online then got called for me interviews and eventually got hired but no longer in the field anymore due to starting my own business
