Actually I checked the rook d8 line at 22:27 and turns out its still completely crushing. After knight retakes on d8 you play the subtle Qe7, and then esentially push king side pawns as the black pieces are glued on the back ranks. The position at 49:00 is 3 pawns up for white, the the pawn storm makes it work

Qc5 was such a nice move, is a type of move that maybe only begginners or very good players would play, because by instinct, when you're an experienced player, you naturally discard moves that defend pieces with your queen cause they're usually bad, plus you have the temptation to trade it for the bishop and enter the slightly better endgame vs the 2 knights, with very low risk of losing due to the drawish nature of the 2 knights if you missplay something and things go wrong . But once you see Qc5 it makes a lot of sense.

51:25 if 1... g6; 2. Qf3+!
@hellopleychess31902 жыл бұрын
I think after Qh5 g6, Qf3 is winning because after any Kg7 or Kf7 you have Qf8, assuming Kg7 there is Qf8 Kh7 Qg8# this does not mean that Kf7 is losing but it gets more complicated, black might have to go Ke7 or Kf6 after Kf6 there is Rf8 though and he is losing his queen after Ke7 Rf7 Kd6 Rxa7. Ke7 is more complicated, after Qe8 there is Kf6 and there is no clear win but you can take the bishop. This looks like the game but the king is closer to the center. but there is also Re8 instead and Kd7 and Qf7 and Kd6(notice that Re8 Kf6 transposes with Rf8 Ke7 Rf7). after Kd6 now it is also rather unclear, but also after Re8 there is Kd6 instead of Kd7, again it's rather unclear to me. and since black has less material, he might want to go into this unclear territory to get practical chances

In the first game, Why is H6 not that great of a move? Isn't it always smart to make a get away square so you don't get back ranked mated?
@Z_nix Жыл бұрын
When all of your pieces are developed, your opponent is playing solidly and have no weakness and you don't have any plan. At that moment it's good to push the h pawn. Pushing the h pawn in the middlegame when your pieces are sitting on the home square isn't wise.
