Hello Daniel I found you via cassiy. Congratulations on your success. I would really appreciate some advice on how to set up pricing for Uk seller as printify being in dollars and how to get ready for a Uk tax return. Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks for your kind words! I use Canva and Kittl to create designs :-) Both have free plans, so I'd recommend you go try them out!

Hi Daniel - thanks for the videos - it's refreshing to see insights from someone in the UK. Quick question - I watched a collaboration video you were in the other day, and you mentioned targetting the US marketplace. When setting shopping in Etsy (not POD privider), do you indicate you ship from the UK or GB? Thanks in advance, and keep posting the tutorials!

Hi - that's great to hear, thanks for your feedback! To your question: You always want to be accurate and truthful about where your items are being shipped from. So, most of the POD providers I use are based in the US. As this is the location from which my products will be shipped from, this is the location I enter in the shipping profile. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions

Hi Daniel. Thank you for your videos - I look forward to further installments. As a fellow UK based seller I am uncertain how best to proceed with selling internationally on Printify. You mentioned that you use SwiftPOD and Monster Digital - do you sell internationally with these providers, including to the UK and Europe, or do you use a different provider (and replicate your products) for the UK/Europe market?

Thanks for the kind words, and great to meet a fellow Brit! Great question. I've found that my primary audience is US-based (95% of my sales), so I personally focus on that market. This is why I use SwiftPOD and Monster Digital a lot of the time. Something to note, is that you can enable 'Order Routing' in your Printify account. If you activate this, any orders that are placed in a region different to that of your chosen print provider will typically be automatically re-routed to a provider in their region. So, in my example, if I have a customer in Germany purchase one of my listings linked to SwiftPOD, it will re-route it to a provider in Europe for printing instead (where possible). The link below has more info: help.printify.com/hc/en-us/articles/4483625090321-What-is-Order-Routing-and-how-does-it-work-

@@EtsyDaniel , that's a brilliant piece of information! I thought that Order Routing was just for out of stock items - that's a potential game changer! Conversely to your experience, I started out targeting both the US & UK markets and got next to no traction in the US - 95% of my sales are from the UK despite it being a smaller market. One further question - what do you do about shipping costs / expected delivery times on Etsy for non US customers? For your German customer, if you charge the same shipping costs and state a similar delivery time as your US customer then, if Order Routing is not possible, won't you be out of pocket and your customer potentially upset with how long delivery took? Or do you charge extra and state a longer delivery time regardless?

Are you British? Do you sell to Europe or only USA? Cause I am Spanish and I can see that you have to pit ñrizes very hight cause you have to pay 21% to the print provider too so with taxes xor that, Etsy fees is not profitable if you have also to declare another 21% to the goverment, I am lost about this, can you help?😊

Hi there! I am based in the UK but my Etsy stores sell to customers around the world (this is great about POD!). I understand your concern - income taxes are important to consider when doing this. I have a profit margin of approx. 30% on my products (after Etsy fees and production costs). From that profit, I then pay income tax in the UK. This means that my net profit is less than 30%, but still profitable. I would recommend experimenting with different prices at which you can still make a profit after taxes. There are different calculators online that can help. Let me know if you have other questions!

@@EtsyDaniel I will, but here in Spain I think it's not profitable at all. With more sales I will come into a conclusion, hopefully they will come

Super informative video! Do I have to set the same prices on printify and etsy? or at the end the prices that really matter are the ones in etsy? is kind of confusing 🤔
@EtsyDaniel

That's a great question! You're correct - the prices that really matter are the ones in Etsy, as those are the ones that will show on your Etsy listing. The prices you have in Printify don't have to match - all that really matters for Printify is that the SKU is correct for each variant. I personally just like to do all of my pricing upfront in Printify (before sending to Etsy) so that the prices are consistent across the platforms. But that's just my preference 😀
